Game 14: Packers at Seahawks - 12/15/24 - 7:20 - NBC

Tough game. Tough venue. Both teams have a lot to play for. We are the better team and need to show it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Seattle has been hot lately, especially their defense. I actually disagree that we have a lot to play for. I wouldn't be surprised if MLF/Hafley held back some stuff gameplan wise since Seattle is probably our most likely R1 opponent in the playoffs(although we wouldn't know they did). A win would be nice though just to show we can beat them at their place

Holding back is playing with fire. Lose and we drop to 7, assuming Washington takes care of New Orleans. We'd have the same record as Washington but they would have a 2 game lead in conference record. Washington still has the Eagles but we go to Minny. Have to stay out of 7.

Eh, the Packers are essentially locked into being a road wildcard team and will likely have to get through Philly & Detroit either way eventually. I'm not sure what seed they get matters that much.

7 seed goes to Philly or Detroit. 6 goes to Seattle or Tampa. I'd rather not have to face Philly or Detroit in round 1 but I get your point.

I would deff rather play an Arizona or Seattle in round 1. Let some other team possibly upset Det/Philly or bang them up before we might have to play them.

@Eagles is the only playoff scenario that scares me. @Lions doesn't really scare me but I would rather play them later in the playoffs. Lions might choke at home in an NFC Championship game, especially against the Packers. That would be a ton of pressure on the Lions. Playing the Lions in round 1 or 2 they wouldn't have that same pressure and they would be more loose and hyped up.

I would like the Packer's chances against anyone no matter where we play them. With the exception of the Eagles.

If we go on the road and beat Seattle tonight and pass this test, I would probably put a decent amount of money on the Packer's winning the NFC if you told me no other results but promised me that the Packer's wouldn't face the Eagles in the playoffs.

Tonight is a huge test IMO. On the road against a good team, but a team I think we should beat in a game we desperately need. Missing the playoffs actually becomes a real possibility if we lose tonight.

If we lose tonight and with a game on the road vs Minnesota coming up which will be tough, all it would take is if we slipped up at home vs either the Saints or Bears and ended up 10-7, we might not get in. We're still in control for a playoff spot if we lose tonight, but we won't have any margin for error.

If it's such a good protection against concussion wouldn't everyone want to wear it?

Or is it too bulky to wear unless necessary.

I know these guys are super competitive athletes that want any edge possible, but after my first mil I'm doing everything to protect my head. couldn't imagine being a pro football player seeing all these legends show up at alumni night with brain issues

This is the 1st year players can wear them in games. Feels like in the not too distant future that every player will be wearing them

Nervous about this one. They really need to step up and show everyone how good they are tonight. It's a chance to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

Read a good article about the company. It has data that shows a decently lower rate of concussions but isn't a magic bullet. Some guys in the article straight up said it was for vanity reasons they wouldn't wear it

If you take the ball on the opening kickoff you better score. Nicely done.
