@Browns Lead Up - Reed has Clavicle/Foot Surgeries

A nice mini bye. Gives the guys some rest. Noon kickoff on Fox.
Hopefully helps Micah continue to get in game shape, as he was gassed down the stretch. We can get Tom and Banks back, too.
Hope that Reed isn't lost for too long. Luckily, our receiving corp has shown up so far this season.
The first of 4 out of 5 on the road. Can't sleep on any team during a Super Bowl run.
Go Pack Go.

Silver lining on Reed (or at least what I'm telling it to myself to make me feel better). There was worry that at some point this season his Jones Fracture could derail his season. Now that he'll be out for a while, maybe his fracture has time to heal? Or at the very least it'll hold up for the stretch run and he can have surgery in the off-season.

Browns stink, but packers need to get up early and let that defense dominate.

Packers were +800 to win the Super Bowl going into yesterday, behind the Eagles, Ravens and Bills.
Now they're +650, right behind the Bills.

Browns stink (other than Garrett) but we're coming off two big home wins, first road game, at Dallas the week after. This isn't a gimme.
Pack open as 7.5 point favorites.

I was watching Get Up this morning and everyone is crowning this team in a way that I haven't seen in...well...a long time. Maybe the 2011 team, and before that, the 1996-98 teams. It seriously gave me some 1996-97 vibes, where there was a "team of destiny" feeling that followed them all year.
Of course, the exception on Get Up was Bart Scott, who is a total hater.

I usually hate the early bye but could be nice to have this season. We could get Watson back in week 6, which is only 3 games from now, which should mitigate the Reed injury quite a bit. Get Savion some more touches and Kraft looks like he's ready to break out. I think we will be OK.

Savion seems close to a like for like replacement too, at least on the creative backfield/short throw plays and Golden should be able to handle some of that load too.

I'm guessing Hardman gets called up and gets a 2nd shot at returner with Reed out now and the poor play at PR last game.

I'd be surprised. Hardman was ass, and they've got plenty of receiving depth. They could also put Nixon back there.

Reed is a big loss and until Golden becomes what I think/hope he can be, this offense isn't gonna reach its full potential. Browns stink but they still have an absolutely elite defense that just held that Burrow and Chase Bengals offense to under 150 total yards. This could be a rock fight.

Wicks and Savion have the ability to make a difference. Savion is the real wild card here, he has the physical ability to be menace out there, let's see how he evolves with more snaps. Wicks has started the season strong and we all know he has tons of potential. I think we should be alright, hopefully no more injuries.

If Love was accurate last night, Golden would have had 150 yards and 2 TDs before half. I don't think there will be that much of a dropoff between Reed and him. Reed had a stretch where he damn near disappeared last year. 8 catches and 73 yards over 4 games.

Maybe Reed gets the Jones Fracture repaired now too?

I thought the same thing too but then had the 2nd thought of just how much energy his body would need to go in to healing from surgery and a broken collarbone at the same time.
Gonna need someone with a medical degree to way in on that one cause I have no idea if it could be detrimental to the healing process
