Post all draft information hear. Who do you think they will take? Do you think they will take a running back (Marshawn Lynch) or a wide out (Ted Ginn Jr.) at the 16th pick?

No wideout. They are VERY high on Jennings and so am I. He was hurt pretty bad the second half of last season. Certainly we need some WR help but I can't see our #1 being used on that position. I like Lynch.
But Ginn is a good one. Drafting for need isn't always the best course.

If we get a WR, I hope it's Moss through a trade. As for RB, I wouldn't mind Lynch. A trade up for Peterson would be awesome, as would be acquiring Michael "The Burner" Turner.
A couple scenarios I don't mind...
Packers trade 3rd and KGB to Raiders for WR Randy Moss. Then they draft Marshawn Lynch with 16th overall.
Packers trade 2 2nds (this year and next year) to Chargers for RB Michael Turner. They draft Ted Ginn Jr. with 16th overall.
Those 2 scenarios would be awesome.

I love Michael Turners game, he's just a tough physical player. I've been impressed with him whenever I've seen him.
As for the draft, Marshawn Lynch. If we don't get him, I'll be a bit disappointed.

If we don't get Turner and Buffalo does, Peterson COULD slip to us at 16. Of course, that would be a no brainer.
If that doesn't happen, I'd love Ginn in the first round. He fills two needs: One as a deep threat for Favre, and the other as an impact returner. Ginn could potentially be as good of a returner as Desmond Howard was with much more production as a wideout.
Remember, we do use the zone blocking scheme, so unless we don't get Peterson, I'd be fine with drafting a back like Michael Bush or Pittman in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Eric Weddle
My sleeper pick, hopefully to the Packers at 78. He has the brain of a football player. He is a DL playing Safety. He played multiple positions in college, including on offense. He is a leader and extremely scrappy. He will be a steal for the team he ends up on.

They're still truly a bad enough team that they should just take the BPA no matter what position.

any way the original thread could just be moved here?

I'm not sure about moving threads between boards. If I can do it I will but I don't want to lose it.

It would be nice to get other posters here to keep good conversations going.
I am hoping that lynch falls to us. While it is a need, there are not that many better options out there to fill that spot. I really think that TT thought that Green would just still be here.
We also have Major needs at just about every other position, so I hope that we can get an impact player, and not a project.

I'd have no problem dealing down to #25 so long as it meant we at least picked up their second rounder. Going from their mock I'd rather have Aaron Ross, Joe Staley or Lawrence Timmons.

Its kind of lame that they project trades on that mock without explaining them...so Im not sure how I would feel about that. Im all for them trading down as DB said if it nets us a 2nd.
I really do like Olson but something tells me he wouldnt be around at #25. I dont like that second round pick they had for us either. If we're going to go RB in the second, I like Pittman based on what was available there.

Did anyone hear The Herd on espn radio this morning? Merrill Hoge was on and said that all the Russell vs Quinn talk is a joke. He said that Quinn is a 2nd or possibly 3rd round talent who has absolutely terrible accuracy and the only reason hes even considered as high as he is is due to Notre Dame and Charlie Weis. He went on to say that Quinn was a deer in headlights against teams like USC and Michigan and he would take Beck from BYU ahead of him.
He also said that he calls Adrian Peterson the cashier because hes going to make everyone pay that passes him over. Good stuff.

Ok 3 posts in a row so feel free to mock me.
Does anyone know how long you hold onto a draft picks rights after the draft. Something tells me its just a year but I wasnt sure. I was curious about what if a teamwere to use a 6th or 7th on someone like Jeff Smardjza (i know I spelled that terribly) and then just hoped he changed his mind on baseball ala Drew Hensen.

Repeating anything Merril Hoge says about QB prospects probably isn't the most intelligent thing to do...haha. We are talking about the same guy that said Vince Young and Matt Leinart were 2nd DAY prospect in the draft and that both would be HUGE flops. Lets face it....this guy should NEVER be able to comment on any draft prospect.

Yeah I think his job description probably says something like "say all the stupidest and most controversial things possible."
