What are your favorite Packer/Lambeau Field memories?

Mine is obviously my first game that I attended back in the lat 80's.

My others are countless get togethers with friends grilling in the parking lot. Attending training camp and spending all day there tailgating and partying. green came over and had a hot dog with us 3 years ago. That was awesome.

The past 2 years Coke and Miller Beer company have invited me through my work to attend practaces (media passes) and to play foot ball in the Don Hudson center. That place is huge....

Lots of fun times, and a few good drunken times!!!!

Favorite memory....I went to the Packers-Seattle playoff game a few years ago (The Matt Hasselbeck "we want the ball and are gonna score" game, the Al Harris Pick Return TD game, the Mike Holmgren playoff return game, the first game after the Vikings miracle game etc.)

Once I saw Al Harris break on the ball I knew he was gone (was sitting in the opposite end zone) and proceeded to rambunctiously hug as many random people as possible. Unbelievable.

Watching the game in which they held Barry Sanders to negative yards.

I was there too--one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed. Sort of like Jordan getting shut down or Gwynn striking out 4x in a game...it just doesn't seem possible.

My own favorite was at the SF-GB divisional playoff game (no, not the TO catch) from their Super Bowl season. Miserable cold, wet and freezing rain, field of mud. The rain finally stopped just before halftime and everyone was very happy about that, then right after kickoff to start the 2nd half there was a cloudburst of more freezing rain--everyone in the stadium simultaneously went "aaaahhh" and this massive steam cloud floated up and away. I remember everyone laughing in amazement about that as GB proceeded to whip the Niners. Good times...

I was in college and was at a party in oshkosh for that game. We all went to the streets...it was out of control.

Why do some people feel the need to riot....the things booze does to people!

Making the 3 hour drive up there for the celebration after they won SB 31. Had to wait in the stadium for at least 2 hours for the team to arrive, freezing out, but it was worth every single moment.

Ive seen some pretty good stuff at Lambeau.

-new years eve playoff game against Lions that was mentioned above. That turned into a really long day
-GB beats Pitt in the last game of 1995 to make the playoffs when Yancy Thigpen drops an easy TD pass in the corner of the endzone that would have won it. Happened about 30 feet from me.
-The Freeman catch on MNF against the Vikings
-Sunday night game against Denver in 94 (I think) when the Pack jumped out to a huge lead and then gave it all up in the second half. Reggie White sacked Elway on back to back plays to take the Broncos out of range for a game winning field goal. The crowd was so out of control from people drinking all day that the team didnt host a Sunday night game for a long time after that. They still might not have, Im not sure.

Only game I've ever been to. Was able to get tickets online because they weren't automatically sold out.

I go to at least one game a year,but i'll admit i'm starting to get soft now that i'm not 21-25 anymore.Sitting outside in freezing cold is done for me unless it's a playoff game.The last few cold weather games i attended were windy as hell and the Packers lost,i was sitting out there wishing i was instead in my house on my warm couch.

It is a great stadium though,eevery Packer fan should get there at least once even if it means paying ticket broker prices.

There have never been playoff tickets sold online for a Packers game.

Well MD, I can personally say that you're talking out of your ass here.

I purchased tickets myself online when I was about 14 or 15. Got my Dad's credit card from him and sat in an online line for about 2 hours. I was able to buy 4 tickets. It was the year Poole caught that prayer in the endzone to beat the Vikings. Apparently most season ticket holders had neglected to reserve them for the extra cost because it was such a long shot to make it there. After that game they named a website to go to for the Packers online ticket office.

Have rarely been to games since I moved out of Wisconsin shortly after graduating from High School.

Those were lean years. Dan Devine, etc.

Remember game in 1971 against St. Louis - when the Cardinals were there and the Rams were in LA - and sand was all that was in AZ.

Scott Hunter was getting one his first tries at QB I think. Both teams sucked and the game was a boring competition of who was more inept with fumbles, mistakes, penalties, dropped passes, missed kicks, interceptions, etc. Fans was getting drunk and shouting funny insults at both teams.

About midway through 3rd quarter, after both team showed they were going to be no better in the 2nd half, someone let a pheasent loose on the field. It was running around back and forth. No official or stadium personnel went to remove it. All around me more and more people were noticing the pheasent. So it must have been around the whole stadium because as the teams were playing on one end around the 35 yard line - the pheasent was nearing the goal line on the other end. Suddenly a chant started - go bird, go bird. But then, as if mirroring the Packers the pheasent turned around and headed away from the goal line. There was an audible groan of disappointment. As the Packers fumbled again and Cardinals recovered - the pheasent turned around and went for the goal line. This time the chanting got loud and intense and then the bird crossed the goal line and the stadium exploded in cheers.

Pack lost that game like 13-6 I think but the Bird was hilarious.

I remember that season. The Pack were a long shot to get into the playoffs and the playoff tix that were not picked up by the season tix holders where sold through a on line ticket broker.

I remember customers at my store complaining that they should have just sent their money in, but they figured the pack wouldn't make it, and they didn't want to send the money in only to have it either mailed back to them later or applied to their season tickets the next year.

There were several seats not claimed by season tix holders, but they were not sold by the Packers.

All I know is there was an actual link on the Packers website, so I assumed it was through them. They were bought for face value as well.

Does anyone know the best place to find tickets? Now that I live within driving distance I have to go to a game while Favre is still around.

You're could go to a game and buy from scalpers or go through a ticket broker online. Either way, you will not get a ticket for cheap EVER unless the Packers make the playoffs in some miracle fashion and most season ticket holders turn them down.

Ticket King. Packer Fan Tours sells as well. Beware of Ebay.

If you don't mind the cold, its actually not that tough to get tickets in November and December, especially when the teams not at the top. We have season tickets, but we're always able to find extras from people who don't want to sit out in the cold. The trick is to find someone you know thats old or has young kids..they don't want to sit out in the snow. It's been my experience that a lot of people (myself included) would rather sell/give tickets away to someone they know rather than sell them to brokers or scalping them. A few years back they made a rule that if you get thrown out, you can lose your season tickets....even if they're not your tickets. I sure as hell would never want to risk someone I don't know getting stupid and doing something to cause me to lose my season tickets and put back on the end of that 30 year waiting list.
