There are always surprise teams that appear weak now that are good, and teams we think will be strong that falter, but this is a tough schedule right now. Four of the last 6 on the road.

One Sunday night game, one Monday night game, 2 Thursday games.

Definitely the toughest stretch of the season. Matter of fact, after the bye week we have a pretty brutal schedule. Time to start winning at home!

I don't see Philly or NY being that tough. That doesn't mean it's a sure win, but certainly very winnable. Even San Diego could be a win. They are much better but the week before they travel cross country to New England for a bitter rematch. Then travel coast to coast to return home, then travel to GB. And they have another bitter division game the next week. Kansas City. A classic sandwich game.

Drugbust! 6-10?! Didn't you predict 11-5 last year? (Or was it 10-6?)

Gotta have faith!

I'll predict 5-11. :-)

Just kidding ... I'm going to be optimistic and say #6 seed in the playoffs at 9-7. Our defense is going to be really good this year and I'll have faith that TT will get us some playmakers on offense before the season starts.

I think we'll have a good, certainly not great, team. Like everyone else, injuries are always important. Some areas we have depth, some we are very thin. I think we had a hell of a rookie class last year and if those guys get better and we have another solid rookie class our depth should be pretty good.

I thought you didn't want a schedule thread?

Anyways the road vs home team out of the North is pretty unbalanced. With the exception of San Diego the better teams are on the road and the easier teams are at home.

Better learn to sink or swim early. That's a tough start that could devastate a young football team if anything were to happen to one of the vets (Favre, Driver, Harris, Woodson, Barnett, Tausch/Clifton) and we stumbled out of the gate.

Again, I'm going to wait until after the draft until I make any predictions.

Of course there will be a thread when the schedule comes out. What I didn't want is one long schedule thread that will be up until the end of next season. We'll discuss the schedule for the next week or two until the draft, then that topic will take over. :)

Yeah that is a scary schedule. When I first looked at it, I was thinking about 5 wins but after spending some time with it, I think we are heading for another 8 win season if we find some decent guys on offense. If we end up with no new TE, RB, or WR worth a damn though, 5 wins is all she wrote.

I didn't think the schedule is THAT bad considering some of the powerhouse AFC teams we won't have to face... the back to back AFC road games are going to be the telling sign of the team, especially off the bye week.

I think 8-8 with Wild Card -

So are they wanting Favre to go out with a home win?

Funny...
Pack had the third easiest schedule last season, Bengals had third hardest. Next season it might be the opposite.

You guys have fun with that 8)

Well make sure you don't have anymore guys involved in off the field stuff. Lose anymore key guys and having an easy schedule won't matter.
