McCarthy Hasn't Excused Favre
...from the mandatory minicamp. Sure would be interesting if he didn't...

This is silly thread-You want drama- Montana, Marino, Elway, in their twilight didn't go to MINI-camp either. COME ON!! DO you really hate Favre that much?
Do you think Teddy and chubby little M3 start going after Favre about this after the recent happenings-use your head.

I am sick of Favre's constant whining...show some damn leadership...he has thrown just about every young offensive player under the bus on this team...great leader, let the cheesehead nation keep making excuses for him...might be nice to actually get to know some of the players "who can't play"...maybe Favre should stay home and work on his acuracy a little bit. I am so glad the national media and NFL fans who know the game are treating him like the drama queen he has become.

it's not whining. Its being honest. ted is a POS GM and lied to him. The guy makes a lot of money sure, but he's one of the few that is fueled by winning. It also appears Moss is as well. Put those two together and WOW! It could have been something special-at least give it a chance. Ted is an a$$ HOLE! You will learn in time my young naive friend.
I'll see you back here in 8 months with your "FIRE TED" thread. GuanF'n TEED.

Your post are borderline insane....how the hell do you know TT lied to Favre...its been obvious to anyone that knows football TT came in here with a major rebuilding job which basically meant from the ground floor up. He seemingly has done a good job adding young talent to both lines, keeping the couple defensive lineman who mattered and adding a quality defensive tackle this year, which was very much a need position. To say Favre is fueled by winning more then anyone else on that team is also incredibly ignorant, and has absolutely no fact to base it on. Moss is all about winning?? You are so in love with your fading hero that you have just wrote some purely crazy babble with no factual base...Moss is not about winning, go find out what his ex-coaches in Oakland think about him, there is a story on espn.com right now. I actually thought at one time you had a clue....but you are nuts.

Agree.
Favre whined about Mckenzie not being at camp, now he's not at a camp for some lame reason. I am tired of Favre's act. TT is trying to build a franchise, not build one season Bart Farve. TT may be wrong, but at least he has the franchise in mind, not one player.

How the heck is Favre the same as Mckenzie?? Mac was holding out for more money.
Favre is still recovering from ankle surg, and is going to be attending his daughters graduation on Saturday....
Does he really need to be here sitting on the sidelines or can he see his daughter get her graduate???
Frankly, no one should skip out on their family.

His daughter graduates 5 days after mini camp ends....plus it doesn't matter, Favre has decided all the party favors have been taken care of and he is now going to show up...so he can look at all the faces of the young players he said sucks.

A) His daughter isn't graduating this week. He just planned to prep for her graduation party. Big difference.
B) Family is definitely important. However Green Bay has ALOT invested in this guy and he should be there if they want him to be. Its what he's signed up for. If he wants to spend more time with his family (or whatever) he should've retired.

I disagree.
frankly, for the little that he is going to take part in, the only, ONLY reason he needs to be there is for the guys that haven't played with him before, to get used to being around him.
If anything, with him being in town, the press is going to be every where.
I would think that they would rather get through the mini camp, let everything die down, and have him be at the 2nd one, which he is usually always at because that is the one that he hosts his softball game at the end of.
This isn't like last year. They are not learning a new system. He has been in the league for many, many, many years.
Let him work at home, continue rehab, get ready for her graduation. and the next mini camp, and let the guys that need work, get it, and let them do it with out a bunch of hassel from the Media.....you know with brett in town they are going to be all over the place.
Another dumb choice by TT and M3

Think M3 was happy to hear about Favre staying behind?
This was before the the whole trade me, fiasco. Now it is going to be a circus, one that the reason they are having the mini camp, to focus on football, may be lost.
