Packer FAN view on Favre?!?!!?
Im wondering, as a huuuuge longtime Packer fan, what other fans think about Favre in this whole trade talk, being dissapointed in not getting Moss, and all the talk about Favre being upset with the organization and possibly not being at minicamp. The Media is making Favre sound like the bad guy and it pisses me off...so what do guys think about all of this??? Ted Thompson is a piece of **** and until the day Thompson and the Packers tell Favre its time to move on, Favre has every right to be pissed about such a **** offseason of getting him NO immediate help. But for all you true Packer Fans, what do you think?

Yea i agree, Im wondering more whos side real Packer Fans are on as far as their feelings about Favre in this situation, like do you guys all support Favre in what he is doing, or do you side with the Organization and think Favre should shut up or get out...should have more clearly wrote that, sorry

No one is going anywhere. You all need to chill the **** out! This team is rising. Brett will be resurgent as his receivers will be older wiser and more savvy. Bubba will be back. Super Bowl? Maybe not, but it is not out of the question. We have a really good defense. We have a very variable ridden offense. We are by means no favorite, but things can align right, and I think they will.
I am the official Green Bay Packer Homer!
If we go 4-12 come back to me and berate me, butI see good things happening in the final Favre year. Building a defense first is the best possible thing that TT could do. A few guys on offens will have to step up big, but I'd rather put the burden of being great on a HOFer than a 2nd year guy.

No its not. Ignore the belligerent numb-nuts.
For me its not a simple answer.
I like many things TT has chosen to do but its frustrating because he stops just short of being brilliant. He seems just a little too timid as evidenced by the Brett and Moss situtations. And was too inflexible with Walker. OR maybe it was just poor communication with all 3. Anyway he seems to have learned more flexibility as seen with Al Harris.
TT has gotta get better at some things (communication, negoatiation, etc) to be more than a decent GM who is better than average in draft and rise to beomming a shrewd fully skilled GM.
In my ideal scene there would have had to be no choice - TT would have done most everything he has done (except resign Franks for that much - but everyone's allowed a mistake or two) and agree with his not signing any overpriced FAs this year. But I would have done a few more things that he didn't. One being trading for Moss OR Jackson. Maybe would have resigned Green for same amount as Houston but for 1 year less? Green might have bit to stay in GB? And still drafted Jackson.
Far less important - In draft Harrell may turn out great but I would have traded down - gotten an extra 2nd - and taken Olsen - and taken DT tank tyler later on. But that's not a big deal.
Overall TTs OK - just wish he could have seen he could have done just a little more to win now and not sacrifice the future at all.
NOW IMO - its too late for either route. Moss is with Pats so our best shot at cheap impact player is gone and there are none others (screw Keyshawn). Mini camps have started so teams are less likely to add a QB who has to start from scratch. Situation developed that ended with Brett saying he wants to stay so it would be tough for either he or TT to make a move without looking bad.
Brett and TT are stuck with each other. However my resentment is that TT benefits and Brett gets screwed.
TT gets to protect ARod one more year and develop him slowly (he obvisously needs to) and let roster improve one more draft before starting - while letting Brett get ripped for trying too hard (M3 calls all the pass plays) with no support on O.
Sucks!
Does Brett deserve better = YES.
Does TT desreve to be fired = NO.

eagle, thats exactly what i was trying to get at...and i totally agree. its not as simple as favre should go or tt should go, but that is a pretty accurate take, thanks man...its so frustrating though, knowing favre is winding down, and by the time thompson gets a hold of this team favre might be gone and nobody is sure about rodgers yet, you know?!?! but yea great point of view
