Kevin Barry got cut today, according to Jason Wilde on The World's Greatest Sports Talk Show.

Apparently, he didn't fit in with the ZBS and they wanted him to have a chance to catch on with another team.

Thoughts?

wow. Then why did they sign him last year?? It's not like he was a sherman re-sign...

interesting.

I said from the beginning it was a dumb resign.

TT & MM were committed to ZBS and clearly described the physical type guys they wanted. Barry was clearly not that type.

Seems they were running scared.

Of course some wil say that it did not cost much so why not?

Still a waste and still a stupid move. That I and anyone could see was a move that was never going to work out. But hey its OK to waste FA dollars.

Franks, Barry, Walker = clear screw ups.
Wahle = debateable (as it has been)
Sharper & Longwell = minorly questionable as they still perform
Rivera, Hendersn = absolutely right move

Green? = we'll see - I say shoulda resigned for same $ for 1 yr less.

1st yr LT Jason Bourke was also cut. He looked great in camp last year but got hurt and was on IR all year. I had high hopes for him but looks like he failed to recover.

FA rookie Orrin Thompson is backup LT. THATS BAD. We drafted Barbre in 4th round as T but he's been practicing exclusively at LG which suggests if Clifton is hurt Colledge slides over to LT. Considering how badly Daryn got KILLED at LT last year in one game Cliffy went down - we better pray we pick up vet LT while Daryn and Barbe get more reps there.
