according to www.profootballtalk.com there is a rumor that culpepper is interrested in joining the packers. i doubt this happens, but if it did, then i guess we could deal rodgers since it would make culpepper favres backup.

I brought this up in the mcnabb thread....not a bad gamble, would give dante a whole year to get back in Shape.

Its PFT. AKA a bunch of made up garbage. No way Culpepper would come to GB. We have Favre who could play 2 more years then Arod who we are grooming to take over for him. Daunte probally wants somewhere he has a chance at starting if not this year then next year for sure

Favre could play 5 more years, but I highly doubt he plays another after this year.

I have seen enough of Aaron....and TT is drinking koolaid if he thinks he is the answer.

I would bring Dante in if he comes cheap, let him fully heal this year, and throw him out there after favre retires.

Rodgers isn't the answer, and will prove in short order to be one of the worst first round picks since good ole Tony M.

I seriously still think the Packers should've drafted Brady Quinn, instead of reaching for Justin Harrell and creating a logjam on the defensive line.

I think they should have worked harder to get the deal that the cowboys got from the browns....have 2 top picks in next years draft.

I dont think anybody can really say he isnt the answer until he plays consistantly...I didnt see any games in person, but im guessing Brett didnt look like a future hall of famer when he got garbage time in atlanta...or he probably wouldnt be here now...and nobody is sayin arod is a future hall of famer, so wait til he gets handed the opportunity and blows it before the "he isnt the answer" talks come out

You're posting this on his rep from the draft, and by him being a first round pick, not by his actual performance....

Brett spent a season in alt, we have seen plenty from aaron.

It has been talked about enough, and doesn't deserve more conversation.

well not really...i dont think very many back ups could unexpectedly come in right in the middle of a game against the patriots for your first real action and tear it up to the point where you are handed the starting job once your vet qb calls it quits...his full ability we will never see til he is there from the starting line-up to the end of the game. i didnt know crap about him before or after the draft til he really got here, so his "hype" doesnt really mean anything

I am going to take a stab in the dark and figure that you have never attended training camp, inside the fence, and that you have never attended a practice inside the Hutson center.

I have been on the side lines of many of these practices, I have watched him botch simples things. Get yelled at by coachs for missing reads, and as they put it, slow your game down. I have watched teammates shake their heads and talk amounst themselves to quote "oh boy, he is going to get it for another mistake like that" a couple min later Rodgers is getting reamed on the side line.

I have seen this on many occations at practices which take place indoors, and out of the public eye.

The media member that I was with always laughs as he is told by members of the Pack that they can't print or talk about these things or they will "loose privileges". He is protected in the media.

The one practice where he was reamed out and told to slow his game down...he was too hyper, too nervous, wasn't hitting check downs and was hitting the first guy instead of looking to see who was open....the next day in the paper an article was written stating that "he had one of his best practices of the year!" i find that hard to believe.

You look at his body language, and he is not starter meterial.

Think about it. Rodgers came into the Pats game, facing the second string. He didn't come out excited. he didn't come out ready to show what he can do. He came out and played like crap. Sluggish. Didn't show the fire like someone who wants take over.

He is easily a waste of a first round pick.

Getting back on the subject at hand...I'd offer Culpepper a 2 year deal and see where it takes us. But we all know TT isn't going to do it.

I wouldn't mind this, but IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN. Ted "the tight ass" Thompson stll believes his 1st round pick of AR will make him look smart. Why would he bring in competition in the form of Culpepper? That would make AR look bad.

I can't claim to have seen A-Rod in practice, but as for the Pats game he looked just as good as Brett Favre that day, which is to say the Pats annihilated the Pack 35-0 and were already making our whole team look foolish long before A-Rod was thrown to the lions (Pack was down 21-0 when A-Rod entered with about 2 minutes left in the first half). The only thing that concerned me about A-Rod in that train wreck was that he might possibly be injury prone, beaking his foot only a few plays into his first real playing time.

I've seen nothing in AR to make me get excited; happy feet, below what I expected in arm strength, and becomes unhinged easily. That said, as many have said you have to give him a chance. There's a lot pf presure following Brett. I see his upside as a fairy efficient short passing chain mover if he can get over the jitters in the pocket.

Culpepper to Oakland it appears.
