Schedule
I was just browsing thru the schedule and obviously its impossible to predict, but its not all that favorable on paper right now. Any thoughts?
vs. Philly (Big game, sure would be nice to start off w/a win. Tough game. My gut feel is a win.) -- W
at NY Giants (Giants are mediocre, but tough road game to start.) -- L
vs. San Diego (I think SD could regress a bit this year, still a big underdog in this one. LT a force.) -- L
at Minnesota (Minnesota has alot of questions, especially at QB. 'Dome always a factor though.) -- W
vs. Chicago (Team to beat in the division yet.) -- L
vs. Washington (Team we should beat, especially at home.) -- W
at Denver (Probably get rolled in this one.) -- L
at KC (beatable team, tough place to play at. Could go either way.) -- L
vs. Minnesota (Need to get this one. Very winnable) -- W
vs. Carolina (Like Philly, tough game but part of me thinks it can be a win) -- W
at Detroit (Thanksgiving game, never know...) -- W
at Dallas (Like always, a loss, unless Dallas collapses under Wade) -- L
vs. Oakland (I think Oakland is improved, but I like our chances in this one) -- W
at St. Louis ('Dome factor again. Don't like our chances, unless the Rams sh*t the bed this year.) -- L
at Chicago (Tough one, unless Chicago isn't playing for anything.) -- L
vs. Detroit (Close out with a win.) -- W
Right now, I'm probably thinking 8 wins again. I think the best thing to hope for is 6 wins at home, 3 on the road, and hope 9-7 gets you in.
Obviously its impossible to pick at this point, but I was bored...

I think Minnesota could suprise a little (I repeat a little) this year. All depends on how efficient their QB will perform. I would not overlook them. The Pack will probably go somewhere between 4-12 and 6-10. Just too many holes RB/TE, too thin at corner/WR, inexperienced OL, Favre will try and do too much, and below average Coaching (way below in the case of Shottenheimer-sp?). I think people will be talking McFadden and the draft by mid season.

I'm to lazy to look it up, but you only have 15 games.
San Diego - W or L?

I don't think Ted can survive 6-10 or worse unless the new President is a buddy of his. Don't think there's any way Reinfeldt leaves the Titans so it could be adios for Teddy.

A lot tougher schdule this year last year packers got lucky. But with dallas chicago twice san diego philly st.louis and denver its going to be hard for this team to be above .500. Espesically since this team has no running game and its even going to be even harder on farve look for his INT to be high.

Your gut feeling. GB hasnt beating philly in what 6 years., Philly has one of the best secondarys in the game along with one of the best defensive lines. THey love to blitz. Farve is going to have a tough tough tough game. Mcnabb westbrook and there offensive line where tear threw the packers weak but growing defense its going to be a blow out dude. Your being way to optimisitc

In a few of those the Pack had more talent, but Sherman was getting out-coached by Reid.

Umm i remember one game favre fumbled like 3 times because it was raining , two times we blew you out. cant remember the rest. but I know pretty much gb has no chance againist the blitzing of philly since gb has no gb they can blitz all day without any real worry. So favre is going to be on his back all day. So I dont see this game going down to coaching.

How about that playoff game? If Sherman kicks the FG on 4th and goal, or goes for it on 4th and 1, or doesn't veto a blitz on 4th and 26 the Packers probably win. And the Packers should have won the rain game as well. Favre had the broken thumb and was out there trying to handle the ball in the rain, and Green ran for 192 yards. Sherman had Longwell attempt a field gfoal we all know he couldn't make in that weather. Should have punted...

What about last year. With our back up in. No explaining that one.
Anyways with Mcnabb Westbrook Kevin Curtis Reggie Brown LJ smith healthy this offense is gonna destroy the Green bay average defense.
Also with our great secondary and our great blitzing ability with the packers offensive line and favre takes chances. I don't get where you guys get this gut feeling you are going to beat them. When they over match you in every position.

I didn't say we had the more talented team in all of the games, just a few of them. Garcia wasn't exactly chopped liver last year either.
And people might have a gut feeling because the game is at home and it's the first of the season. Lots of energy/emotion in those types of games.

Average D? No. They were above average last year and will be improved at one DE spot (Jenkins who can actually stop the run over KGB), Poppinga is now two years removed from his surgery, and Collins/Hawk both have another year of experience under their belt. The only weak spot on the D is strong safety as of right now, they are set everywhere else. A 12th ranked D that was top 5 in sacks and INT is not "average", and that was last season.
The Eagles are nothing special. Same boat as us.

LOL ok. Just because its the home opening doesn't make it a win. Or even a close game. But I will let you guys live in fantasy land intill week 1 starts.
