Predictions

Never too early for some predictions
I see this as a 5-11 team. I see a lot of frustration from Favre; Driver and Wooodson get hurt, and the team derails. They do get to play the Lions twice so that helps. I just don't see a lot of progress-the Vikes got a big boost with the AP pick and not a bad WR in round 2. Calvin Johnson is going to be a Michael Jordan type WR-ouch! The Bears are just a better team.
The bright spot could be a shot at the Arkansas RB. He is a sure fire star.

6-10
They were lucky to be 8-8 last year and didn't address most of their weaknesses. The schedule looks pretty tough too.

5-11. Schedule is just too brutal, unknowns at RB, Favre isn't what he used to be, Manuel is still on the roster.

7-9.....
We will see how it goes, but I think we have a solid D, and if we can put points on the board we should be ok.....
I hope we can surprise some people.

8-8. Team will be better overall but we have a tougher schedule this year. I expect the defense to be in the top 10 range (it was 12th I believe in yards allowed last year) and a lot of low scoring games. I expect red zone offense to be our major achilles heal, as we are lacking red zone playmakers at all of the offensive skill positions.
I do think this team will be better than most think though. I have a ton of faith in our D especially on the defensive line.

Why are you here if you're an Eagles fan. No one cares about Philly here.

The Eagles board is a click away.

I cant talk about what the packers record might be and talk about the first game of the season in a diffrent thread.
I am just trying to state my opinion about the packers. I think they will do bad because favre for one. Without a running game how good is he going to be.

I have a good feeling about the team but I will say 7-9. Its a tough schedule. Plus getting Detroit on Thanksgiving gives them a little boost. My next fear is injuries, especially if a guy like Woodson or Harris goes down.
With that said, the defense should be pretty solid. I don't think some of the skill positions are as bad as advertised. RB might be a little shaky with the inexperience, but I think the OLine is going to be a tad underrated.
Should be an interesting year. I could see it being up or down.

I'll state my unbiased opinion on the Eagles. I feel they will go 4-12 with a little luck. Ever since the 4th and 26, I have been rooting for them to lose every game. They still piss me off.
As far as the Packers record, I feel that they will be pretty solid this year. 10-6 is the worst case scenario. They'll probably win 11 or 12 and send Favre out on a positive note. I feel the defense is very underrated. Look at how the defense carried a terrible Bears offense a few years ago to a 13 win season. Although, I'll admit that I have never seen so many lucky plays in my entire life as the Bears had that season.

Too many things will have to go right for this team to finish even 8-8.

The play of our D overall will be huge. They could win us some games we "should" lose.
Offensively, I think it comes down to the O-line. Tausch and Cliffy are rock solid, so if the interior guys come back stronger then we'll be solid on that side. I'm not worried about the RB situation.

I am
The defense better be quite good after all that's been invested into it.On offense i have real concerns that the running game will be anything more than mediocre and could be worse than that.Mix in a past his prime QB and a dismal tight end group,i see the offense really struggling more games than not.
Somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8 depending on how a few close games go that could swing either way.
Key on defense--Saftey play and health of the starting corners. The team really needs Collins to be a consistant playmaker and someone next to him that is at least reasonably competent.
Key on offense--Running game and Driver's health.

Everyone's been saying it. One or two injuries away from 3-13.
Woodson, Harris, Hawk, Kampman, Driver, Clifton
loose one of those guys and forget playoffs
loose two and we'll be close to the worst record.
same if we
loose one of those guys and one of Pickett, Jenkins, Barnett.
Crazy thing is - IF no critical injuries and some luck we could squeak into playoffs. 9-7. But it would have to be perfect.
Aint happening. 6-10

I think Morency is going to a be a very good running back; a surprise in the league. I thought he looked like a much better RB last year in terms of talent compared to Ahman and he was learning it all on the fly. I'm not too worried about his injury setting him back.
At least based on the little I've seen, I think Jackson can be a good runner in our system, but his lack of blocking is a major concern.
I'm not a huge fan of Herron, but he looked to be in better shape and had a bit more explosiveness compared to last year in the scrimmage the other night. I don't have a problem with him getting PT if needed.
All of this bears watching of course, but I think the O-line is the biggest issue on offense. If they can play well, Favre will have time and there are options on this team at WR despite not being loading with "name" players. Our lack of adequate O-line play killed us last year and forced us to max protect a ton of the time, which simply doesn't work in the NFL. Morency is another non-name guy that I think could break 1,000 if the line can block.
RB is a revolving door position in the NFL. Morency will play well in my mind and Jackson will spell him when needed.
