Paul Thompson QB

Post#1 » by deep throat » Thu Aug 9, 2007 1:56 pm

This guy intrigues me. He has great size (6'3 1/2" 216). He is very athletic, and moves very well. Seems poised from what I've seen and heard out of camp. By all accounts he has severely outplayed Martin.

Here's some highlights from a game against Nebraska http://youtube.com/watch?v=_TLD2VmMI00

This is one of the players I am most interested in seeing. If AR doesn't work out next year, maybe he gets a shot.

He definitely looked better than Martin in the scrimmage. Martin has looked terrible every time I've seen him.

Sounds like Martin is playing the entire 4th quarter and Thompson won't be playing this Saturday. I'd imagine if Martin struggles, the door is probably open for Thompson.

Yes, Thompson will be given the 3rd string job next week. They want to give him time. I feel he has the edge, but they want to work with him more. This is the player you may most remember from this year in five years. Had he been a QB for 3-to-4 years he s a 4th round pick (or better). He has some holes, but he could be the guy in time.

I don't think Martin has much of a ceiling, might as well see what Thompson can do.
