Seahawks vs Packers - 7:00 pm

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Sat Aug 18, 2007 11:39 pm

Well, lets see if the first string offense can muster their first, um, 1st down off the pre-season.

Looking forward to seeing some signs of life from our running game.

Jennings is feeling like the forgotten man; will he get a ball thrown his way tonight?

How good is James Jones?

Can Brett silence the critics that are starting to get louder and louder?

Brett was in Iron Mountain earlier today to attend the funeral of Mariucci's mom. He was expected back in plenty of time. TT went with him. There was talk of some members of the 'Hawks staff going to but I don't know if they went or not.

How is the game going.

I see we are putting some points on the board....

I normally don't get to see the preseason games...I try to work as many of them as I can so that I can go to the games when they matter!!

Favre can't look too bad.

Jackson running any better?

Great game so far. First team actually looked decent. Bubba had a few nice catches, Jackson looked much better (well compared to last week he looks like a Pro Bowl back lol) and IMO, Favre has looked good.

The defense has been

Rodgers will be taking over next possession. I really hope he can look as good as he did last week.

I don't care if Hasselbeck didn't play tonight. The defense has been superb (minus that one play where they had Burleson wrapped up and he ended breaking for a huge gain).

Another defensive TD. Amazing.

38-13 Pack at the half. Bigby definitely showing something tonight.

This team should be able to contend for the division this year.......

TT can rest easy tonight......this team has athletes that come at you in waves.....

The only controversy I still see coming is Favre v. Rodgers. It's not clear cut for either guy right now IMO.

I would not have thought that in May the Packers would be able to overtake the Brewers as the talk of the State.....but I think the bandwagon for Green Bay will start filling up tonight.

It could have been the weather, Seattle missing both starting Tackles or that Hasselback was sitting - but this Defense really looks SCARY good!

The Seahawks play in Seattle...I highly doubt it was the weather.

I agree about the defense. Looked almost..06-07 Bears-ish first-half-of-the season-like.

What a great game to watch for Packers fan.

Loved seeing all those sacks and interceptions. Nice to see our special team doing something for once.

I don't get too excited over preseason games, win or lose. Take away Seattles two starting tackles, quarterback and Alexander (who had 3 carries) and I would expect us to shut them down.

Jones looks good. So did, gulp, Bubba.

And the only QB "controversy" will be from a few people on a few internet boards. 8)

Thompson is not ready for prime time.

Bigby rebounded with a solid game, he could win the starting job.

Bigby looks like he's for real; I really liked what I saw from him tonight.

Not to steer the direction away from the reason why Iron Mountain was brought up but damn that is one crappy town.

Sounds promising! Not going to cream my shorts over the preseason, but playing well is a lot better than playing poorly.
