Hawk to take step to elite level in 2nd year

Post#1 » by LUKE23 » Wed Aug 22, 2007 9:23 pm

At least this is my opinion. Hawk was the guy I wanted from day 1 last year, and he showed flashes of what I think will turn into dominance as early as this season. I think when you combine his athletic ability and speed along with what is probably the top work ethic on this team, you have a future superstar.

The guy is a little bit crazy. Builds an oxygen system in his house so he can recover faster from the destruction he puts his body through during the week in the weightroom. Lives football.

I think he'll be a player that will be a perennial pro bowler for a lot of years, possibly as early as this season.

And I really do think the people who still want Vernon over him are nuts.

Guys like Hawk are exactly the type you want leading the defense and the team overall.

Hawk is going to keep getting better and better for a long time. It helps to have a top notch line in front of him.

Hawk is old school; I love players like him.

It's not about money or fame, it's about hitting someone in the mouth every Sunday and winning.

I also think Hawk can become a pro bowler as early as this year. He showed flashes of brilliance last year. Sideline to sideline he can make any play. His coverage is the only thing that needs to be worked on and he still came up with a few INT last year. I do love players like him. All football all the time and always ready to play. Nothing better to watch than that
