Drivers foot injury?
How serious is this? Well atleast this forces Favre to look elsewhere. Time for Jones to take over.

I think Drivers best days are behind him. He's been having lousy camps and having the case of the dropsies. Time to get young legs at the receiver position like Jones. He's gonna be awesome. I had high hopes for Jennings last year. But hes not the same after injury. Pretty sad when our defense is more interesting to watch then our O. Some one on offense has to step it up greatly. Not sure who that is other then Jones. Maybe someone we didn't see yet like Wynn?

Best days behind him? he had practically his best season last year, nor do i think jennings is worse cuz of the injury, the packers just decided to make him a ghost on the field is all.

Man...
Most of the "drops" during preseason games have come on misfired laser beams from Favre into coverages he shouldn't be throwing into in the first place.

Actually he led the league in dropped passes last year-it was in ESPN the magazine a couple months back in their NFL review. I like him, but I never have thought he is anything more than a excellent #2 or fair #1. Below average size and speed. He's a good team guy, built a chemistry with favre (only WR vet on team), and has a good work ethic = very good solid player (not an elite WR).

You could also look at it a different way. GB didn't have a great running game last year. GB didn't have any other receivers (Jennings early) or any tight ends to take pressure off of Driver.
He still managed to put up those numbers despite being the focus of every opponents defensive backfield.
Im not saying he is a NFL HOFer because he is not. However, a few more years like his previous ones and the Packer HOF will be almost a certainty.
In addition to his unmatched leaping ability (which was conveniently ommited when referencing his size and speed attributes) is his knack for coming down with the tough catches, and his RAC ability.
Im glad it looks like he will be OK.

I certainly hope Driver dodged a bullet and can play, he might be the one guy they can't afford to lose on offense....the WR corp is very talented but also very young, need DD's vet leadership.....but Favre has alot more weapons at WR then he has had in a long time, hope he can pass it around and not just lock on to Driver. I realize there TE's do posess household names but I was very impressed with each 20 yard catch made by Franks and Lee......the ability is there, I just don't think the TE plays a huge role in this offense.....seems very WR and RB oriented.

Production is all that matters. He's produced and will again this year. Consecutive pro bowls. Just because he isn't 6-5 and run like the wind doesn't mean anything really. He's a legit #1 right now, and he's backed that up with his numbers.
The WR core IS NOT a problem.
