Should TT go after TE Wiggins?

Post#1 » by Johnny Newman » Mon Aug 27, 2007 4:54 pm

Jermaine Wiggins, TE JAC
News: Jaguars.com reports that the club has released TE Jermaine Wiggins, RBs Derrick Wimbush and D.D. Terry, LB Jorge Cordova, WRs Jimmy Farris, D'Juan Woods and Roosevelt Kiser, DE Jeremy Mincey, OT Andrew Carnahan and QB Lester Ricard.
Analysis: Of these cuts, Wiggins is the biggest surprise since the club liked what he brought to them this offseason. But ultimately, none of these players should be considered for Fantasy use, especially since they're not on an NFL roster.

I'm surprised they cut Woods. I liked him at OSU and I wouldn't be surprised if he's picked up.

Wiggins wouldn't be bad at all.

I'd grab him for a look, can't see any downside to it,we don't exactly have a bevy of young talent or great vets

Always can use the depth. Worth a look as mentioned.

Stats have gone down the last 3 years, Vikings signed him to a 5 year deal in 2005, then cut him loose after last season. 32 years old.

But we suck at TE so we should bring in everyone we can this week.

I'm working out for them Wednesday.
