Moss could be cut

Post#1 » by Flames24Rulz » Sat Sep 1, 2007 3:20 pm

According to PFT, the Patriots are seriously considering cutting Randy Moss. Obviously with the depth they have at WR and the lack of production they've recieved from Moss so far, they feel like he can be expendable.

If he's cut, I really hope Thompson can get him for basically nothing. If at anytime he complains or becomes a hindrance to the team, release him. It would be a low-risk, high-reward type of acquistion.

wow, that would be amazing. I would be shocked if they did it though unless he is already acting like a bitch. If it did happen, I am pretty sure we would have the best chance of bringing him since we were the second choice anyway. Maybe TT is smarter than we give credit for with that whole situation and James Jones excelling and stuff. Of course Harrell sucks so far and Olsen, Quinn, Nelson, and many others would have been a better first round pick.

Well I would trust Belichick's judgement of talent. If he doesn't even want him on his team, I'm not sure I want him here stunting James Jones' growth.

Yeah early on I was comparing James Jones to a younger Freeman. Now I have another old Packer i'm comparing him to. A guy that would of be a HOF if he didn't get hurt and played like 1-2 seasons with Favre. He also had a brother playing TE on another team. Can you guess who i'm saying Jones is compared too? hehehehehe

Wow.. why would they do that? If Bellicheck doesn't want him I don't think I want him like Mags said.

Those guys are absolute clowns. One of their big rumors was Aaron Rodgers for Moss. It is complete garbage. SR- it was a 4th round pick not 3rd, but your right on the money with everything else.

I don't see Freeman in Jones, but I agree there is a little Sharpe. He's Sharpe light, which is pretty good for a guy that I thought was a reach in the 3rd round. This looks like it could end up being one of Ted's best picks.

The bottom line is that Moss is garbage and a team killer....to lazy to practice and they have alot of talent at WR in New England.....what I find utterly hilarious is that only 2 teams GB and NE, had any interest in that scum bag, if NE were to cut him, some tools still would want GB to pick him up.......he would not be in GB's top 3 and he sure as hell would not play special teams....get over it....Moss sucks.

I thought it was a 4th round pick but whatever. But that would be the reasoning for cutting him because they only gave up a 4th rounder. This guy can't play he couldn't play in oakland and its not like NE needs this guy to win the division or even win the AFC. They have wes walker and stallworth. Stallworth is just like a poor mans randy moss runs fast down the field and can jump for the ball in the end zone. Never goes over the middle.

Todays PFT rumor mill says Moss is "quietly bitching" about his role and that he might be traded. And I guess the Pats have until next weekend to cut him without having to pay his salary.

If Moss wants to be the number 1 guy he is in the wrong place.

Not really. The Patriots have a solid WR/TE group, but none of them are anywhere near as good as Moss is.

As for the rumor, well he wasn't cut (as I'm sure you guys know by now) and practiced today. I've found PFT to be a pretty unreliable site when they are using sources of their own or "league insiders" rather than just repeating what Schefter has reported. I'm pretty certain Moss was never in danger of being cut as I didn't see it anywhere but PFT. I'd imagine that if it were true, Mike Reiss (very good Patriots reporter) would've picked up on it.

This from the biggest tool, who claims to be an insider....the only postings you ever made the nearly made sense was that memorable week you were typing while smoking the crack pipe, we all remember that with fondness....he has killed every team he has been on but the Pats are much biiger then your fellow idiot.
