WHAT: UW (1-0) vs. UNLV (1-0)

WHERE: Sam Boyd Stadium (40,000)

WHEN: Sept. 8; 9 p.m.

BROADCASTS: TV - Versus; Radio - Wisconsin Radio Network

Keys to the Game

1. Who will back up P.J Hill?
With Smith out for his away game suspensions, Zach Brown should be the backup. But who after that? Hopefully we get to see local favorite John Clay, but reports say FB Rentmeester may be the 3rd back

2. Will our defense show up this time?
With missed tackle after missed tackle last week, will our LB corp. and DBs step up? Mr. Projected All-american (Ikegwuonu) was no where to be seen and did not play his part last week. He was noted to be more focused in practice this week.

3. Home-field Advantage?
Everyone knows the Badgers travel well, and Vegas is no exception. This may turn out to be a great atmosphere for the traveling team.

4. Get in the head of their freshman QB
Its time to spoil the confidence of their redshirt freshman QB Travis Dixon. He's got great speed and rushed 22 times for 138 yds last week against Utah State. He was 12 for 20 getting 141 yds passing. We need our speedy LBs to contain him, maybe even setting up a spy with Castillas.

Anyways...

After the 1st quarter last week, our D pretty much shut them down. I'd expect a very good performance out of them again this week, though the type of offense UNLV runs is a little scary.

We crush on the road. Clay gets his first PT.

I have DirecTV, and its channel 602 or 603 - can't remember. Didn't even know I had it at first. Swore a couple of times before I realized I actually had the channel. Go Badgers!

I think this UNLV team could put up some points. The D struggles with QBs like this one.

These UNLV type offenses usually break down - they get a quick start, but slow down by the end... let's hope :)

These announcers are praising Donovan for some reason. He's been horrible.

That was honestly some of the best play action Ive seen in a while. Great play for the situation. On the road theres no style bonus...a win is a win.

tyler donovan has earned my respect for that drive, whoever drew up that play I am guessing it was the coach and he seen something so he called the timeout but either way donovan's speed is paying off this season.

What are you talking about? The guy played pretty damn well considering how many drops the receivers had. He still managed 1 TD and NO Ints, and had a 111.44 passer rating for the game. Made a couple of mental errors, but give him a break this is his first year as the starter. Overall he did a nice job.

He wasn't the problem- The O-Line didn't block well, receivers dropped passes, and this defense is not very good. This is not the kind of team the Badgers (and Big 10 in general) matchup well against. A classic case of undersetimating your opponet. UNLV came ready to play, and had all the intensity. The Badgers, not so much.

LUCKY to win this one, but they will drop in the rankings.

And you people think Brian Anderson is bad? The color guy for this game was unbearable. Pretty sure he said Bret Bulimia once.

I don't think we will drop that far. Okalhoma will prolly move up to three after west virgina game or at least in my opinion they should be. But i dont see any major changes for wisconsin.

tyler donovan!!!!!! he will get better and better as the season goes on. He got screwed at least 4 times by is Wr's.
