Eat it Philly fans

Every forum I visited this past week, Philly fans were talking so much smack it was absolutely asinine. Saying the game wouldn't be close, saying our defense is overrated, etc. Well, how much do you love this outcome?

And before the excuses come (because I know they will) please remember that we didn't play well either and also had two turnovers at critical times in the game.

Defense owned McNabb in the second half. OWNED!!

Eagles fans will make excuses and whine but both teams played ugly and at the end of the day the Packers made the plays when they needed to get a win and at the end of the days thats all the matters.

Packers 1-0

Eagles 0-1

Now take your sorry asses back to Philly.

Who would've thought the Packers special teams would've been the x factor?

eagles speical teams loss the game. but both teams have major problems they need to work on for week 2. but mostly learning how to call a fair catch a back away from the football for the eagles and running for the packers. but the packers defense early impressed me. packers offense was what i thought it would be.

Eagles D was good as expected and the Eagles offense was what I expected too. Nothing really special, no WR's, McNabb trying to make plays and very vanilla play calling.

Although the game was close, GB was the more physical team today. The lack of discipline by the eagles surprised me as well. Shouldn't it have been inexperienced GB team making the mistakes (Personal fouls, punt returns etc...)

i think you mean the eagles speical teams. packers punted the ball, eagles returners sniffed some crack and muffed and fumbled and did what they did and just handed the packers the ball.

Yeah but you still gotta jump on the ball :)

Their WR's are average and I've been saying that for quite some time. McNabb is the guy that makes all the plays for that offense, along with Westbrook getting YAC.

The difference in the game as our DL. They just layed the wood to Philly's OL the entire second half and McNabb was under pressure nearly every big passing down.

mcnabb makes passes on the run all the time just not today. but kevin curtis really impressed me. i don't know where reggie brown was the whole game though.
not much to why we loss today. because of our punt returners. you take away that touchdown its a toatlly diffrent game . but i never seen a game where the punt returners played such a huge factor.

Take away any touchdown in a 16-13 game and it makes a big difference.

That is like saying, "take away the 4th and 26....," but that thread is a few years old....

Jarrett Bush timed his hit perfectly during the first muffed punt. It was one of the greatest special teams plays I ever remember. The Eagles didn't just hand the Packers the ball, the Packers earned it.

Whatever makes you happy but you should give the ball up at all on a punt returner espeically when you call a fair catch.

and stop bringing 4th and 26 up and this situation. they are uncomparable. I was just stating that if the eagles wouldn't have been on crack you guys would have scored 3 points most likely.

Why are they uncomparable? We gave you that play.

Whatever makes you happy, but I guess very little will, since we won and you lost. Period. Go make excuses elsewhere.

Just give it a rest. We were the better team today and capitalized when it counted most.

I just got back from the game. Went up there yesterday afternoon. LOTS of Iggles fans around town. They actually weren't too bad because they "knew" they would win. It was great waving to them as they left Lambeau.

It makes me happy alright. I haven't been this happy after a Packer win a while. The Eagles owned the Packers in the 00's just like the Packers owned the 49ers in the second half of the 90's. It just ticked me off so much seeing the Packers lose to the Eagles every single game. Now hearing Eagles fans making up excuses as to why they lost is iceing on cake to a great victory. Complain away, the cake could use some more frosting.
