Defense was actually as good as advertised, the Packers won and Moss had his best game in years.

Yummmm...crow....

At least your coming around. As I have been mentioning for some time the Packers receivers just don't get a lot of seperation. A guy like Moss who still runs 4.29/@6'5" could have been a perfect addition. 9 receptions/183 yards/1 TD. I guess he is done and is just a shadow of his self though.

So you missed it when Jones beat his man, was wide open, and Favre over threw him?

Not sure if this is a jab at Favre or not, but since it's you it probably is.

McNabb did the same thing a few times.

Did you miss the drops and the fact that our offensive line was smothered? I don't even know why I glorify stupid things like this with a response.

I believe DB's point was that while Moss played well, and had a great homerun play, Jones also had a similiar situation that would have been a touchdown with an accurate pass.

Yeah, because NFL QBs never miss a wide open man, it only happens to Favre.

So far you're the only person that gets it. Congrats.

So the one time Jones got really open somehow equates to a constant home run threat in Moss?

And it's clear that you have a midranger/europa level agenda against Favre, so I didn't somehow miss the veiled criticism.

All I was doing was responding to DT's comment that we lack someone who can get deep and get separation. Jones got deep and got separation. He was overthrown. That's all I'm saying.

As for Favre, I loved watching him today. That drive in which he had the shovel pass and the toss while he was falling down was vintage Brett. I haven't been that excited watching the Packers in a while. Probably pissed off the neighbors I was cheering so loud.

I will eat minor crow here as well, although not nearly as much as cousin Drugbust.

First of all, I never want to hear one more god@@@amn word about Brett Favre. Ted Thompson has f###ed him good. He has Donald Driver, and THATS IT.....

Yes, he's not like he was in 2002 and before. Yes he still makes stupid decisions.

But we are so f'in lucky to have 2007 Brett Favre its not even funny. And I cant see putting one loss this year on this defense. If the offense does what it did today we are damned fortunate the defense holds the whole game, much less most of it.

Now let me salute cousin Johnny Jolly. Three bats. And let me salute TT, as much as he has f###ed the o, he knows how to build a Lambeau team for the long run.

LETS GO PACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two rookie running backs, a rookie fullback, a rookie #2 receiver, Ruvell Freakin' Martin as your third receiver, no TE's and a line that was horrible today.

I give DB credit for eating crow.....takes a man to do it in his own thread.

Now I'll back him up on Favre.....I'll stand by my thoughts that come the third week of the season, more than a few of us are going to be wondering if Aaron Rodgers could create more offense.

I get it that TT has given Favre no weapons, we have all rookies, blah, blah, blah.....but Favre sucks so bad right now, he can't create a damn thing on his own. If we want to celebrate the vintage broken play piece of crap, then let's equally celebrate the ridiculous interception that killed momentum on that drive in the first half.

I'll need to do some signature now so that I'm not called a Favre hater....I'm just a realist as to where the guy is at this point in his career right now. A-Rod may not be a starting caliber QB.....he's proven nothing. But somebody has to make some plays on this offense....A-Rod quite possibly might be the guy to do it.

Franks gave up on the play, not Favre's fault. Keep wearing those glasses though.

The emperor no longer has any clothes......keep blaming the receivers for running the routes improperly though.....

.....piece of crap receivers like Sanjay Beach and Kittrick Taylor didn't have any problem catching balls from Favre many years ago...and we didn't hear anything about people running the wrong route........

our line looked like crap today....Favre got knocked around more today that he did for near a month worth of hits a few years ago.

While he could have done better, the only complaints I had were the same ones I had about Favre 15 years ago.

He tries to make something happen when it is not there.

He takes chances, I accept that.

But to say that it was bretts fault for an over thrown passes when our line played like matadors....gimmie a break.

Moss played great by the way.

Lets take time to thank our board of directors to blocking that move.

I don't understand what the line has to do with one specific play in which Favre had time, threw the ball and it landed well out of reach for a wide open James Jones. The pass protection was bad today. There's no doubt about that. But that wasn't a problem on this particular play. So what does the offensive line have to do with this instance? I honestly have no idea why it's apart of this.

Franks did give up on the play; he was in a great position to bat it down, at least. But yes, it probably shouldn't have been thrown. Along with the other one as he was getting sacked that could've/should've been intercepted.

But McNabb threw one right to Barnett, and another right to Collins. So I guess he sucks so bad too.

A realist! A realist doesn't ignore extenuating circumstances in Favre's favor, while augmenting the negatives against him.

I guess we're extrapolating more than what you actually said then, given your historical ruthlessness with respect to Favre. But again, one play of Jones getting open doesn't equate to a flat out domination by Moss.
