OT: Badger football

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Sun Sep 23, 2007 2:56 am

Iowa winning an ugly one, 10-7.

Anyone else notice that the second half didn't start until 2 hours, 22 minutes after the game started? Girlfriend is royally pissed off right now. I told her I'd take her out tonight but five minutes ago she slammed the door as she left. What can I say? It's the opener of conference.

I really don't like Tyler Donovan. That is all.

Offense looks horrible.

Offensive line isn't opening up any holes for PJ.

Tyler making some bad throws.

It's one ugly, boring game.

Looks like the Badgers are another 4th quarter team from the state of Wisconsin. Their strong o-line has slowed the feet of the Hawkeyes fast Dline.

Thank god we won again. Unless we learn to start dominating rather than playing down to the competition, our first loss should be coming shortly.

But we won atleast.

Can anyone think of a worse announcing team than Brent Pussberger and Kent Turdstreit? They suck!

DB is the man! Either that or u made up that story, and it was really your mom slamming the door because she told u to clean your room 6 times.

I suppose the former is possible.

I didn't get to watch the game, but I did listen to some of it. Did we look that bad?

Nah, I'm pretty sure I was broken up with tonight. She came back over around 2:00 am when she got home from the bar and was even more pissed off. It didn't help that I was 'emotionally not available'. I told her it was because of the Brewers' inability to do even the most basic of things at the plate.

She again left with the slam of a door.

That sucks. You should get her some roses and make her some dinner. Can't go wrong with that.

It was gonna happen sooner or later. I've been looking for new jobs for a while now and none are around the Wausau area. I've got a job interview over in Minnesota this week and I like my chances of getting it. So we were heading for a breakup anyway.

Stuff like that is why i've never been married and very well never will be.I've lived with a few girls, but my threshold for that kind of female drama over nothing is razor thin.I can tolerate a few times at most, then i'm either out the door or the girl is.

I almost married my daughters mom years ago, mostly out of that it's best for the kid guilt factor.I thank myself for backing out most times i'm around her and her now husband, the crabby complaining over nonsense is still there, only he's trapped in it via marriage and owning a home with her.I'd rather stab myself in the eyeball with an ice pick than be in many of the marriages some of the guys i know are in or relatives are in.

When i see their women bitching at them or them having to get permission to do many things as if they were children,i can't grasp how they deal or dealt with it for so long.

Maybe once i get in my 40's i'll start looking for something very serious or marriage.Right now though for me at least,it much more to my liking to be able to tell a girlfriend that's getting annoying, chill on the nonsense drama or hit road.Lot's more women in the world besides you to pick from.

I got lucky. My wife never complains about me doing things on my own. We dont have a lot in common. She likes her stuff and I like mine. We do set time up to do things with the kids every day. She is very understanding person. !0 years coming up this week and I would not change a thing.
