I posted this in another pregame thread but closed that one....

Here is a Bears message board to see what the opposing fans have to say about this game.

The Bears are injured everywhere on defense and the offense is incompetent. Their lack of depth on the defense with the injuries showed against the lions with 34 points scored against them in the 4th quarter, as they just got winded. The Pack needs to continue to do what they do best in their short passing game.

Lets try to limit the big runs this game. They also need to get Jarret Bush to play bump and run against his man, or at least play closer to the line of scrimmage. We can only hope Al Harris' back spasms simmer down this week too.

We can basically end the Bears season in week 5 next week. Lets do it.

Their O doesn't scare me at all, it's absolute garbage. Their D is injured but still will be up for this game.

All special teams coachesthink they are the one who can stop Hester. And certainly he has bad games (Dallas). But don't even screw with it. Do NOT kick him the ball. He is their ONLY offensive weapon.

It's interesting how many of our weaknesses and question marks have become strengths.

Tight end - Lee and Franks have overall done a very good job.

Receivers - Jennings, Jones and Martin have been solid with DD.

Special Teams - Once horrible, now good.

Kicker - rookie kicker - so far outstanding

They should just kick the ball as high as possible to force a fair catch on the kickoff around the 20-30 yrd lines, unless we got some wind behind us on the kickoff. I wouldn't chance having Crosby trying to get a touchback without being absolute positive that Hester can't return it.

Take out Hester.
Stack the line and make Griese beat us.
Pick on Archuleta (horrible in coverage).

Those should be some of our gameplans.

Pick on some of those replacement players for the injured Bears D.

Benson hasn't impressed anyone this season and the Bear offensive line has progressively gotten worse.

Yes, make Griese beat the Packers. Catch those interceptions this time though.

And please don't let Hester return one for a TD. The Green Bay special teams has looked impressive all season though.

Go Packers. Screw the Bears and the Cubs.

Bears week has always been lost on me, being from the nothern part of the state and living close to the Minnesota boarder.

My friends from the Green Bay, Madison and Milwaukee area are fired up though.

The Bears don't scare me at all. That offense is the worst in the NFL.

If you're McCarthy, you ask Crosby before every kickoff if he can get it deep in the end zone. If he can't, just pooch it. I don't care if they start at the 40 on many of their drives. They won't score many points. They have absolutely no running game and our D-Line should be able to tear up their line. And I'm sticking to my opinion that Griese is far worse than Rex. At least Grossman can throw a deep ball from time to time. Griese has no success at all doing that.

I'm really excited for this game. Let's get to 5-0.

I love the NFL!!

Who in their right mind thought going into this game against the Bears before the season started that we'd be in position to essentially end their playoff hopes and season in general? I love it!

Wrong. 14 of those points are directly attributable to Griese's INT that was returned for a TD and the onside kick that was taken to the house. The defense did give up a couple long drives but what do you realistically expect from a severely depleted defense with no offense to help them out? The Bears "lack of depth" actually played outstanding defense in the first half considering our entire secondary was hurt along our pro bowl linebacker and top defensive tackle being hobbled by a sprained knee.

That said, you'll be lucky if Archuleta is back for this game. Brandon McGowan is twice the strong safety he is but Lovie won't acknowledge that given Archuleta was a pretty high profile pick up. McGowan looked very good against the Lions in run coverage and adequate in pass coverage. Danieal Manning is looking like he has no idea what to do from the safety position in the Cover 2; he blew a few coverages in the 4th quarter that led to some of those big plays for the Lions. At least the Bears can somewhat pass the performance off to injuries and the Lions having the best passing game in the NFL so far.

Griese said he needs to get used to the speed of the game again, which sounds like some BS. He threw lots of balls behind guys which led to two of his 3 INTs, looking quite Grossman-esque in his accuracy. He seems to refuse to go down field, so the Packers' D should be able to pack it in, easily take away the run game and the short underneath passing game that Griese can only do. Dare him to throw over the top, cause if he does, he'll probably underthrow his receivers for easy picks by the Packers' secondary.

It'll be a close game since the Packers offense is one dimensional right now and the Bears defense figures to get Briggs and/or Tillman back, but Cliff Levingston expects about a 10-13 point margin of victory for the Packers anyway... somewhere in the area of 10-0 or 13-0.

What makes this year's Bear week so great is listening to Chicago sports radio at 670am or 1000am.....it's a mess down there and they are eating their young.

I guess you're right, 20 pts scored against your defense in the 4th quarter is way better than 34. And you're right that the lack of depth had no impact on the stamina of the defense in the 4th quarter. Cliff Levingston should be GM!!!!

Exactly. Put the ball in punts out of bounds, and give it hell and kick the ball through the end zone on kickoffs. Just dont kick it to him.

It is my wifes B-day on Thurs, and we are going to Curleys for supper. Should be funny to hear some of the people from Chi piss and moan!
