does our running game get going against the pretty bad run defense of the broncos?

I do not see this team developing much of a running game all season. The line isn't helping and the backs are not that talented.

The Broncos Run D didn't look all that bad against a dominant Steller tun Offense.

no offense to you, im not making fun of you, but great call.

The holes were there the entire night. Grant did a good job but outside of that one long run, he wasn't making guys miss. He just put took the ball and charged through the line.

Now, a big reason the holes were there is their line is nothing but undersized pass rushers and their MLB isn't suited to play the position. Losing John Lynch early hurt as well.

But for one night the running game looked good. I hope it's a building block and a sign of things to come.

i thought it was kind of refreshing to see a runningback not dance around like hes afraid of contact. i think we might have stumbled upon something good.

You always hear about the need to run to set up the pass. I think our continued success passing the ball will help set up the run. But I do question whether we have the ability to run the ball on "running downs" when the defense is expecting us to. But I think McCarthy is doing his best to keep defenses off balance by rarely being predictable.

I thought the same thing about Grant. It was nice to see him put his shoulder down and initiate contact instead of strolling out of bounds on one particular run.

I think the good running game yesterday was about 75 percent on Denver being so horrid vs the run.

I think our running being considered the worst in the league is more a reflection on our not running the ball more than we simply can't run the ball. Of course you could argue we don't run the ball because we can't...

The two games we've tried to run the ball, we've done OK. The games we haven't run the ball very many times, we passed successfully instead. I'd rather we did that than forcing the run and gaining 50 yards on 30 carries just to prove to ourselves that we're not very good on the ground.

I agree with your first point for sure, GB has really only attempted to run the ball in 2 games, this game and Chicago, they have had success in both....I believe 3 of GB's 4 halfbacks average 4 yards or more per carry and in this game the fullback has played more then he has all season and Hall played an excellent game.

Grant picked up a ton of extra yardage by finishing runs by blasting into people. It was definitely refreshing to see that.
