Not sure the injury on Wynn or if they gave up on him wanting out of every game

I would think signing another back has to happen.We only have two tailbacks on the roster and Jackson hasn't exactly been a bastion of health.

we have three. Grant Jackson & Morency.

I doubt Wynn sees as snap in a Green Bay jersey again

Ooops,my bad

Is Morency still nursing a sore knee or is he fully healthy now?He plays a few snaps here and there,but doesn't look effective and then he sits until the other back playing gets tired.

My guess is we take a back in the first or second round provided Michael Turner isn't a Packer by then. Brandon Jackson is the Chester Taylor, Dominic Rhodes, Sammy Morris, etc. That is, unless Ryan Grant is the real deal (would like so but I doubt it).

I think Wynn is going to be the fourth option heading into next season.

Wynn is a very talented player. The only thing that will hold him back is himself or injuries.

He's naturally big, fast, instinctive and for as big and fast as he is, he has the ability to make guys miss in the open field or in the secondary to take it the extra distance.


I have a feeling Wynn will be serving a lot of crow next year. If he really is a lazy douche, then he'll be done. If he works hard though, he's the most talented RB on this roster and I dont' think it's close. He's barely scratched the surface of what he can be.

Wynn's out for the season with a shoulder injury. This guy is just not tough at all. Usually when you hear knocks on a player coming out of college they usually aren't true, but it was true with Wynn.

Yep. Those reports that he was a 2nd round talent but lacked toughness turned out to be prophetic.

Oh well. I don't think it's that big of a loss. It's Grant's job now. Hopefully Jackson can work his way back up the rotation as well.

Morency is currently our 3rd down back. Reliable blocker and receiver. So far marginal runner.

DB - I predict your a prophet. Though not hard in this case. Turner or a top two pick. I say with all that bank TT has saved up - he'll do a Woodson next offseason and Turner is ours.

He could probably be injured and irrelevant BUT IF he stays healthy I agree with your evaluation that he has talent.

Youre saying no one else will make Turner an offer?

I would be very surprised if Wynn isn't on the team next year, not necessarily because I am sky high on him (I was actually happy to see Grant enter the Broncos game; he seems to be our only back that's not constantly dancing at the line of scrimmage), but because I think Thompson and McCarthy are, and also because the bulky Bettis-esque Wynn will represent a complementary skillset/short yardage alternative to anyone else we have, will sign or draft. I'd guess Wynn just has to survive training camp to make the team. This quote from McCarthy's Tuesday press conference sure doesn't sound like they are in any way down on Wynn:

"On DeShawn Wynn going on injured reserve with what McCarthy called a more serious version of the stinger that Tony Moll battled: "Injuries, unfortunately, are a part of the game. I think you look at DeShawn Wynn and I'm very pleased for what he's accomplished in the short time he's been here. He's a seventh-round pick. He had to fight like hell to get into training camp the last week after a significant injury. Heck, he was our starting running back at one point. I think he has a very bright future. It's unfortunate that he has to go down on IR but we're excited about DeShawn's future here because he has all the ability. He can be as good as he wants to be."
