I just noticed he's scored a TD in 4 of the 5 games he's play this year. In his only healthy 5 games last year, he had 3 TDs.

He's had 5 20+ yard receptions, 3 40+ yarders, and he's averaging 18.5 per catch.

I argued a lot this preseason about GJ being a "big play" receiver so it is nice to see him finally healthy and living up to his ability. Here's hoping he stays healthy because I definitely think his talent is clear.

Jennings is no doubt a feather in Thompson's cap.He had just traded Walker and desperately needed a receiver,but that year didn't exactly have a bevy of big time talents in the draft.I remember that i wasn't a big fan of Jackson from Florida and hoped we'd pass on him,but outside of seeing him play the Badgers,i wasn't sitting around doing all i could to see Western Michigan games.When we chose Jennings,i liked what i read and remembered Jennings played well vs the Badgers,but was left to just hope the draft info was accurate.

Looking back at all of Thompson's moves,besides hiring McCarthy,i think you could argue that drafting Jennings may have been his next best move when factoring in the present/future of each player Ted brought in and price paid.So long as he can stay healthy and Rodgers gives Jennings good QB play going forward,he'll put up great numbers,especially if Jennings ever gets Drivers role in the offense.

I have been so Impressed by GJ that I am in awe...when we 1st drafted him I was a little suspect just cause I really didn't know much about the guy beside what I saw against the Badgers. But if he can stay healthy I think GJ might be the best draft choice for the packers in a long while.

So long as he can stay healthy and Rodgers gives Jennings good QB play going forward,he'll put up great numbers,especially if Jennings ever gets Drivers role in the offense.

I have said since the beginning Jennings will be another Steve Smith (Smith ran a worse 40 time at the pre-draft camp) and there was NO way I wanted him to be a 3rd receiver this year, IMO he is the best receiver on this team. The play that impressed me more then the bomb was a 3rd and I believe 8 play where he caught a quick pass on the sideline and embarrassed there D-back (bly I believe) with a little spin move and ran right around him for the first down and more.......if Jennings stays healthy, watch out.

I'm nearly as excited about Jones. Big, physical, doesn't drop balls and can get separation.

Both of these guys are going to be outstanding WRs for the Pack.

That's what I really like about him is his YAC ability. The guy seems to always catch the ball in stride. I wish I could remember the article but someone on the team or in the orginaztion said Greg has a very unique ability to adjust himself when the ball is in air to stay in stride as he's catching it. On top of the speed and quickness he possesses, he has great hands.

While we talk about Jennings, James Jones looks like he's another TT gem. All I can say right now is I absolutely in love with our WR core at the moment.

I also recall Mel Kiper Jr. saying he loved the Jennings pick on draft day because he felt GJ was his major sleeper.

Where the hell is deep throat? He argued doom and gloom all off season and he swore Jennings was too small and slow to be a deep threat.

The Packers trio of wideouts I believe lead the league in yards, before Favre nation comes out screaming that they are only good because of Favre, i believe they may lead the league in YAC yards or are quite near the top.

Do you know how I know you are clueless? You do not believe that Favre has THE biggest "nation" of any player in the NFL? Did you watch the pre-game and ESPN's telecast? Did that not want to make you throw up in your mouth a little bit?? I can't believe there is a Bronco fan and many others who just are not sick to there stomach of the over-the-top Favre love.........I don't hate Favre, he has played 4 great games this year and I didn't know he had that left, but do you really think that many of this fan base is not saying Favre has made these receivers what they are?

Most people up in G.B. are thanking their lucky stars they have 2 young receivers to build around after Favre is gone. Favre will be given his due recognition (and then some) for helping develop them, but most people are giving the credit to T.T. for finding a couple of draft sleepers.

There's definitely a supportive faction, but I don't think there are a lot of people who want to diminish everything that the receivers are doing and put all the credit on Favre. But that's not the point anyway. The point is that you're motivated enough to try to "preemptively" attack this group (that may or may not exist). This shows that you're going out of your way to take any potential credit AWAY from Favre.

Favre love? It might be over the top, but considering the heat he took during the offseason, he deserves it.

Does Favre tell the announcers and/or media to say these things about him? Does Favre have control over what people say about him when he's down on the field? Umm, no and no.

What is quite obvious is that you try and turn nearly every Packer discussion into a Favre discussion. It's the same way you try and turn every Bucks discussion into an anti-Mo or pro-Bogut discussion.

There was absolutely no reason to throw that Favre comment into a thread on JENNINGS, yet you feel compelled to.

But you're also the guy that said we'd be in better shape with Rodgers at the helm this season. Yep, I'm sure we'd be 6-1 with him under center.

How dare you make crap up.....I said the Packers will be better in the short term with Favre but that I was ready to turn the page and move forward with Rodgers. I certainly did not expect a 6-1 record and after the past 2 poor years I did not expect Favre to play so as well as he has, I have acknowledged that Favre has played 4 excellent games.....get your sh*! together when you start para-phrasing, does not speak highly of you.

Jennings has been absolutely key--the bye week came at a great time for him. He is doing a great job. I slightly underestimated the effect him and Jones could have this year.

Hopefully he won't wear down like last year.

It will be also interesting to see if he or Jones can develop into a legit #1. That is a question that will become important down the road as Driver slows.

The potential is certainly there for them to become a nice tandem.

I was looking at the stats for WRs and wondered why Greg was so low. 35th in yards and tied for 6th in TDs. Then I finally realized that he MISSED THE FIRST 2 GAMES! Lol.

If you extrapolated his numbers and applied them to the first 2 games Jennings would have:

8 TDs- He's be tied for 4th with Burress, behind only Moss, Houz, and Braylon Edwards.

605 yards-18th in the league.

Not bad for a 2nd year guys whose only played 20 games.
