Short Week. Important Game. National Audience. Turducken.
Random Lions Message Board
Lions' FS Idrees Bashir was injured during the game and will receive an MRI Monday.
Johnny Jolly injured his shoulder but should play Thursday according to McCarthy. Also from McCarthy, Grant has a "mild" ankle sprain but said he could've went back out there after feeling ok jumping on it.

Historically we don't play well in Detroit especially on Thanksgiving. Short weeks are especially tough on the road team.
This is the Lions season right here. Win and they are two games behind with a win over us. A loss and they are 4 games down with 5 to play.
We absolutely cannot let them build any kind of a lead. The team and the fans will be fired up. Get a couple of quick scores and the fans will file out early.

Yep. Bury them early. Let's kill them.

UPDATE:
According to McCarthy Press Conference, Grant is day-to-day with Ankle Sprain, but Jolly has a "significant shoulder sprain." Will miss at least 2 weeks.

Win or tie the turnover battle and we win barring the Lions getting some special teams TD or INT/fumble deep in our territory.

this is going to be an interesting match up. the lions definitely will not run on us, so it be interesting to see if they will be able to get their passing game going against us. i think the most that will happen is that we won't give up too many yards but occasionaly be vulnerable to the big play. we should come out of this with a win.

i love watching grant play but i don't think his loss will have much of an effect on us. since we are playing in the dome of detroit we won't have to depend on the running game as much. i think the running game will be adequate enough on thursday to pull out the win.

The key for the Packers is something that was missed this past week, that's a solid pass rush. Rush the hell out of Kitna, you can get him and he will then make mistakes.....this Detroit team is on the brink, pressure them and they will crumble....GB 31 Detroit 20....Grant will have a good game.

I'm not as confident going into this one as I was against Carolina.
Green Bay's almost due for a stinker and my guess is it's this weekend. Like xTitan said, if we can get to Kitna and force him into some bad throws I think we win handily. If he has time to throw this could be a shootout.
34-30 Green Bay over the Lions.

This will be interesting in that Detroit is a passing offense. We've played opponents who have mostly tried balanced attacks or else were run-oriented teams. I've thought at times that our secondary and linebackers could be really susceptible to a high-power passing team. So I'll be curious to see how we hold up against Detroit.

This game will be a good test for the Packers,on the road on thanksgiving vs a team that is probably feeling pretty desperate for a win.
And this game is obviously a must win for Detroit if they want any hope of winning the division.
This will be a tough game for the Packers but I think they will pull it out in a close one.

Brett Favre should have a good day against the 30th ranked pass defense, though he definetely can't throw any interceptions (I believe the Lions defense has forced the most TO's in the league)
The Lions pass rush is pourous at best and one of their D line is out so Brett Favre should have the time to make his throws.
Hopefully Bush can cover Furrey well.
Is it all right with you guys if I do the game thread tomorrow?
