I look at the NFC and see only one other team that poses a serious threat to the Packers Super Bowl aspirations. The Giants defense looks good as long as they can pressure the QB, but I don't see that as an issue against the Packers four and five wide sets. The Bucs and Cards don't scare me much and the Lions are phonies.
I'm fully anticipating a Dallas and Green Bay NFC Title game, and even in that game I like the Pack's chances. You can spread that defense out like the Pats did an exploit their safeties.
At worst I'd say we have a one in three shot of making the Super Bowl. In two weeks that might be a lot higher.
edit: so basically I'm saying I'd take my shot.

I also think Dallas is the only team to fear in the NFC. What i like about that is, in an NFC title game, i give us roughly a 40% chance to win if it's in Dallas, but if it's in Green Bay, about 80% we win.
It's more important for Dallas to get home field than us

I am looking at a GB VS. Dallas NFC Championship game showdown....I cant tell you who will win...the game in a couple of weeks will help make a prediction though.
Does anyone else have the feeling that we can easily lose in the second round game ....I am just so nervous we playing so good I just feel in the playoffs they will pull off what they did against the bears in the second half.

I think this is a great question. I asked myself this one in November of 1996 when we were trying to get to the first SB and get past Dallas somehow. My own internal fan conclusion was I would accept the guaranteed SB loss just for getting there somehow.
But now that I've seen GB in two SB's and also seen how painful it is to lose it, I'll take my chances on winning it all versus not making it.
Besides, we've still got a chance here for someone to break Brady's leg or for NE to get upset by say Indy in the playoffs, which would open the door a bit for the NFC representative. We only worry about the NE juggernaut if/when we can get there.

Go back to 1996.....we had three straight years of frustration getting whupped by Dallas in the playoffs....then we get whupped again down in big D on that Monday night game in late November of 1996.....we have our entire receiving core injured (Chewy, Freeman, Brooks).....at some point your fan reality meter says...."please, just let me experience the Packers in one Super Bowl in my lifetime, even if they lose"
