Green Bay vs Dallas/Refs

Post#1 » by Hornets_#1 » Fri Nov 30, 2007 4:03 am

Vent on the refs here Packer fans......I hate the Cowboys so much so I am with you 100% on this one. Refs are blowing the game.

The NFL needs to seriously change the pass interference rule. Instead of getting the ball where the pass interference happened give them a 15 yard penalty like they do in college. These are game changing penalties and the game should not be decided by a penalty.

Our defense has been horrible but so has the officiating.

I still feel very confident that a healthy Packer team beats Dallas in January wherever we play them.

I agree MD, however, I think it would have changed Dallas' game plan, had Woodson been out there...

The referees were woeful. The calls were very one-sided, going Dallas' way.

I am encouraged by the play of this team without several of its leaders... Favre, Woodson and KGB.

In my lifetime, I can't remember seeing another Packer QB move the way Rodgers does...

He had a good game.

The worst part about watching this game was the televised, spoken-word BJ that these guys gave Romo, I mean, nothing he did really impressed me.

Reminds me a lot of the old days when we'd play Dallas and the announcers just LOVED the Cowboys...

Cowboys fans don't really have anything to crow about, that let a severely wounded team back into the game, and they got the majority of the calls, and several questionable ones...

Dallas isn't really all that good...

I wouldn't go that far, unless by "not that good" you mean either the best or 2nd best team in the conference and a top 4-5 team in the league, inarguably. You can say the same about the Packers even with the loss. Nobody in this league is invincible, including the Patriots, even as much as they might seem like it right now. All anybody can hope for right now is to be healthy come playoff time. Anything can happen.

Just saw that replay of the PI where the receiver tripped his right feet over his left feet.

Complete BS call. I'm disgusted

The refs blew some calls, but Dallas only had to punt one time all game, the defense lost this game.

Even if that PI call wasn't made, what is there to think they still wouldn't have scored?

How many times could he not even get the teams right tonight? Embarassing.

I actually like Collinsworth. He knows what he's talking about.

That makes me want to barf. And its not like we didn't put them in passing situations on 3rd down either.

I'm going to steal one from Ned Yost.

That umpiring (refereeing) was a joke, a bad joke.

Yeah the refs probably blew a few calls, but the defense was horrible; the defense playing mediocre tonight was a lot more game changing than a few bad calls by the refs.

Mediocre is putting it kindly. The refs were terrible, but I'm not sure if you can say it won Dallas the game.

Yep

Our defense got two stops all game and one was a gift that should have been a TD for Dallas. Hard for me to blame the refs when the defense got abused so badly.

i'll blame our cruddy defense before i blame the refs. in regards to that last pass interference call, i don't see it as being a bad call. he did put his hands on him before he tripped him. i think if it was the opposite and dallas' D was called against us, we'd say it was a penalty. however, i do disagree with how the penalty was called. if an official sees something that he deems is PI, throw the flag immediately. you can always discuss later. that's what made the play fishy imo.
