Walker Says 'It Might Be Best' If Broncos Trade Him
31st December, 2007 - 5:02 pm
ESPN - Javon Walker stopped short of demanding a trade like he did two years ago in Green Bay, but he suggested Monday that it might be best for everyone if the Denver Broncos sent him packing.

"It's not that they don't want me here, but I just don't think it's the best fit for me," Walker said as he prepared to meet with coach Mike Shanahan for his exit interview.

The Broncos (7-9) expected to compete for a championship but they lost Walker for two months after he underwent a third operation on his right knee and Denver posted its first losing season since 1999

Here he goes again. Pretty much demanding another trade. The guy thinks too highly of himself.

Walker suggested he might even like to return to Green Bay.

Don't want him in Green Bay.

He could be useful in Philadelphia, Chicago, Tennessee, San Francisco, and other teams.

Maybe he's not happy with Brandon Marshall being the no.1 Wide Receiver for the Broncos

Nothing 'maybe' about it. That's the exact reason he wants out. Marshall's a legit #1 WR and Walker doesn't want to be their #2 option.

What a punk.

What a dumbass. I'm so glad TT has adopted the philosophy of bringing in guys who are the exact opposite of Walker.

Oh man...I've freakin' read it all now.

"Green Bay made me who I was for a team like this to want to bring me here," Walker said. "So, maybe it takes a team like that to go back."

He left when the packers were seemingly on a downswing and now he wants back.
Honestly though, can you imagine 4 wide with Jennings, Jones, Driver, Walker?
That would be sick.
How could you stop that?
You'd have a linebacker on one of them or at least on a TE for a big mismatch.

Walker is a real piece of work. Guy as no sense of anything but himself. Team trades for him AND gives him a big contract and this is what he does?

Walker is new Irving, earlier TO & earlier Moss rolled into one.

Keep that POS out of GB.

I am pretty sure that big contract he signed is heavily incentive laden so if he becomes the #2 guy, he could lose lots of money. Thats what he gets for being such a tool. Karma sure can be a bitch.

I thought Javon had the lowest Wonderlic score in his draft class of 2002.

I remember at the time of that draft Homer talked quite a bit about the value of Wonderlic's.....and how Sherm's drafting seemed like Forest Gregg's, where wonderlic's were really tossed aside.

It took a couple years, but we see those test results should be considered as one element when drafting IMO.

My half cousin used to date Javon Walker, and with that said , he is as dumb as he seems to be. I would rather start Bodiford and Ruvell Martin than go after Javon Walker

I wouldn't say he sucks, but he has an attitude problem and he's extremely injury-prone.

I thought the death of one of his best friends would have made him a better person, but that's obviously not the case. He's now referring himself in the third-person and he's asking for yet another trade. Pretty sad because the guy has a boatload of talent.

As well as he should...Javon is a very talented young man. I would go bring him in to be our #1 wide reciever.

You can never have enough wide recievers. Lets hope Brett Favre pushs management to convince Thompson to go get him.

Walker knows the offense, and no one played harder and elevated their game for Favre when his dad died then Javon. Played out of his gourd...

Overlook what Javon said when he left. He was a businessman and a young man at that. Mistakes are made. He geniunely loved playing in Green Bay and being a Packer.

Plus...he was right. His situation was none of Favre's business.

Then you are a fool.

Javon Walker is a Pro Bowl type player...don't get arrogant my fellow Packer fans!
You don't need smart to catch a football, just great hands some nerve and a lot of skill.

I would take Javon Walker back in a heartbeat. Koren Robinson is here.
Why not Javon?

You go catch passes from Jay Cutler rather then Brett Favre and come back to me...

Besides, it does no matter what you all think, it is what Ted Thompson thinks and you and I both know he does not give a damn what we say
by what he did not do this past off season.

Bring JWalk back...you are all envious and spiteful. The NFL is a second chance league.

Come back Javon speak to Favre like a man and Brett should speak to him and get a mutual understanding and lets get a Super Bowl ring!

That is the bottom line...not this 'oh lets fix Javon and not let him come back since we are winning' foolishness.

We go 13-3 and all of a sudden we are all dissing Javon Walker. If we were 3-13 like I would have assumed coming into the season no one in here would turn Javon back...

Come on now...

Can we ban MBBOT yet? I'm also pretty sure we were bashing Javon in our 4-12 season when he was whining.
