Early weather forecast is a high of 11 next Sunday. So by Sunday night it will be single digits. I hope that holds.

Giants are a much better team than the one we beat in week 2 and they've won 9 road games in a row.

But this is a very very winnable game.

I was wondering what happened, I was in the middle of posting in it and something went screwy. Anyway, looks like the Packers are opening as a 7 point favorite - sounds about right.

Yeah Pack by 7, Cheetahs by 14 1/2.

I thought the initial Seattle line was high, I think this one is low.

I HATE my line of thinking because it wreaks of overconfidence, but I don't see NY giving GB a game.

Marion Barber gashed that Cowboys D in the 1st half, then he wore down and was crap.

I can see Grant having another huge game and Favre exploiting those weak corners like he did with Kelly Jennings.

Plus who knows about the situation of Aaron Ross their safety.

IMO the Packers are better on all 3 sides of the football and should win this especially at home with the G-Force.

Need to win this one. If we lost to the Cowboys in Dallas, we would have been a little disappointed but overall thought the Packers had a great season... if we end up now losing at home to the Giants a game from the Superbowl, its going to be a major disappointment and taint the year we had.

If our O-Line plays like it did yesterday, this should be a win for the Packers.

Same formula as the Seattle game. Giants have a somewhat athletic/quick D, but it's not big by any means. Pound the ball. The secondary for New York is also pretty banged up, I really don't see them stopping our passing game.

Turnovers are what really worry me, but to be honest I'm less worried about this one than Seattle.

I agree, I think the Packers are better in all 3 facets, so as long as they play their game, they should be good. Eli sure doesn't sure doesn't scare me. The NY running game is definitely better than Seattle, but their passing game isn't. If we can stop the run, and as long as our offensive line plays like they did against Seattle, Sunday should have a pretty good outcome.

Let's not forget, the first time we whipped them we had no Ryan Grant and no Greg Jennings.

Yep, I've already heard many people say how much better the Giants are now compared to when we faced them before... same thing is true of the Packers. We're a much better team that we were then.

I hate my line of thinking as well but I agree,I think the Giants used all they had left physically and emotionally to beat the Cowboys.

You put a banged up Giants team running on empty on the frozen tundra of Lambeau field to play a fired up Packer team that can almost taste the Lombardi trophy and it could be a very long day for the Giants.

With that said the Pack still have to show up and play the game and play well to win it.All im saying is if the Packers play their game I don't see how the Giants can win this game.

I would feel different if the Giants where healthy and didn't just play two road playoff games in the last 2 weeks,one of which (Dallas) that was very draining for them both physically and emotionally.

I'll give bigtime props to the Giants for beating Dallas,and not just because it means we play at Lambeau next week.That was one of the most gutsy road wins you'll ever seen in the NFL,Giants have some heart.

I think the Giants will realy build off what they've done the last few weeks going into next season and be right back in the mix in 2008.

I feel the same way,Seattle scared me more than the Giants do and if you take away those quick 14pts Seattle got off those TO's the Packers win 42-6.


What they did to the Seahawks after spotting them 14 pts is unreal,im not even sure the '96 team could have spotted a solid proven playoff caliber team like the Seahawks 14pts and come back to win by 22.

I think the Packers are proving before our eyes they are a dominate team lead by a championship caliber head coach and staff.

The scary thing for the rest of the NFL is that 2007 is this team's comming out party.

This team is going to continue to get better and better and they should be good for a long time.

I will say the same thing I said for Hawks game. The only way we loose is if we beat ourselves (which we tried to do early against Seattle).

Containing Giant pass rush is the primary challenge.

I'm nervous.

I am incredibly confident, the Packers are healthy and playing with such a high degree of confidence and intelligence. Being at Lambeau field last week shows you how much this young teams feeds off the crowd, they did not crumble after being down 14-0, playing with poise is they key. If I have 1 concern it might be that the weather would effect GB's passing game, which is a huge advantage over the Giants secondary.

Same here.

Honestly, it's been a rare occurance that I've felt good or confident going into a game this season. Even against the Lions or Vikes or Raiders. This game I'm anticipating a pretty easy win. Like Seattle, the strength of their team is putting preasure on the QB, and I don't see that happening on Sunday.

I'm nervous, as usual.

But I also think it's a pretty simple game plan for the Giants and I'll echo what McCarthy and his boys have been saying all year -- keep doing what we've been doing; don't change anything, keep the same schedule during the week and on game day, do what we do best.

My head is just spinning right now. Winning on Saturday against the Walrus and Hawks was incredible, but the Cowboys' choke job yesterday made it even sweeter.

Guys, the Packers are in the freakin' NFC Championship game!

One game away from the big show...

The thing we have to focus the most on is the Giants pass rush. If we can contain Osi and Strahan, then we shouldn't have much of a problem.

Its a great feeling to be confident about an important game like this. I don't see the Giants keeping up their act in this game. The cold is going to slow their pass rush, and play into our pass coverage skills.
