You know, I'm not as depressed as I thought I was going to be....

I'm glad to see that the Patriots didn't go 19-0. I still wanted the Pack to win, but still, I kinda like the Giants right now.

Now let's get one back in Titletown.

Absolutely.

I've never been happier for a team that 'wasn't mine'. What a game!!!

Boston fans can go tug it.

Giants were no fluke.....they dominated Green Bay and for most of the game controlled the line against the Patriots.....

Dominant lines of scrimmage and a great mistake free QB......

Amazing after the Patriots have won three really tight Super Bowls and the one they need the most they lose....

I'm loving this....Belichick runs off the field with one second left....what a turd.....waiting for the losing lockerroom interviews....

Brady & the Pats owned Manning. Up until the AFC championship game last year it was Manning who couldn't win the big one.

Now his little brother won the big one too.

Great game plan by Steve Spagnuolo, he had the Patriots offense guessing every play on whether a blitz was coming and if it was, from where.

Man i wish we had him instead of Sanders for our defense

The Simmons column tomorrow will be classic........

After the loss just now I decided to read his Super Bowl preview after ignoring it all the last two weeks........classic case of sports fan hubris......he never really paid attention to the NFC Championship game to understand how good the Giants were.....

Belichek running off the field was classless, not surprising he did it. I don't care if there was only 1 secon left. Go back to the sideline and watch Manning take a knee and then leave.

He is just a classless piece of garbage.

I didn't really care who won or lost, but now I'm glad the Giants did.

I can't honestly imagine him writing a column for a few days, possibly a week.

Well he finally did the locker-room interview.....so I give him credit for at least fulfilling that obligation. But as Jimmy Johnson just said "He'll never get over this loss"

Pats fans shouldn't feel too bad though in the long-run....ten years from now they'll be able to put this in perspective and enjoy the 3 titles they did get......

Steve Young.....great analysis on ESPN...

"If you looked at both teams games in January, you'd say the Giants should win...no surprise"

Another interesting point was he wondered whether this could be a "tipping point" type loss for the Pats.....does the dynasty struggle now after a loss like this. Can they come back as the kings of the league next season or not....

Don't the Pat's lose their #1 in the draft from spygate?

They get the 49ers #1 though from a trade which is much higher.

This was great, and I don't know if the Packers could have done this same thing. I've never seen Brady thrown around like that and they do have a good o-line although a couple of those guys must've been hungover. Could GB have been creative enough on defense to come anywhere close to that pressure?

Thankfully the 49ers won a couple games at the end, at one point the Patriots were on track to get the #2 overall pick. I think it's still in the top 10.

I think Simmons needs to update his Levels of Losing column for the second time in five months.

I can't even imagine what all of New England is feeling right now. I mean, I felt run over and in disbelief after the Packer loss. But it wasn't too tough to get over eventually because looking back, we made the NFC Championship. Nobody expected the Packers to get close to that. Plus, you look at our team and I see a bright future.

But holy balls. The Pats were a team that people were calling the best ever. Hall of fame caliber players all over the field. Most intelligent coach of all time. Playing a Super Bowl against the 5th seeded team from the JV conference.

I can't begin to imagine how terrible it must feel to be a Patriot fan right now.

I've taken my share of drugs, but I'm hear to tell you that there's nothing that can make me feel better than knowing that the entire city of Boston is feeling the way they most certainly are. ****.

Not to mention the Pats are going to lose Samuel and possibly Moss if they don't franchise him.

Seau, Bruschi and Vrabel have to be hanging it up soon and Rodney Harrison not too far behind.

This may have been their last run for a while.

That defense is going to have to be overhauled in the coming seasons, but they should be a very good team for a long time with that offense.
