Packers.com prepares for Favre retirement?

http://www.packers.com/breaking_news/

I'm assuming they've whipped this page up just in case it happens, but it's obviously not official.

yea i saw that...pft made it sound all official, but there isnt any date-specific wording on that page to make us think it is real...so it has to be just a dumby page in preperation...it freaked me out when i read it tho!! :banghead:

Huh, looks like they added rights to that page now. I wish I could have seen it.

Sounds like someone's gonna get their ass chewed.

Yeah, my blood pressure tripled as I read the page. It passed pretty quickly when I realized it wasn't a done deal, but I'm prepared for the possible shock now. Someone is definitely getting their a$$ chewed over there.

If he goes he goes..............I have to admit, I realize Favre is a drama queen but would have thought he would have announced by now he is coming back.

Brett Favre's agent Bus Cook and the Packers P.R. director Jeff Blumb have confirmed that Favre has made no decision about possibly retiring this year.
It was an embarrasing technical error from Packers.com, who accidentally posted a live "dummy" page. This is fairly standard practice, and the Packers used a similar page last year to announce Favre's return. Favre continues to take longer than expected this year to make his choice, but no decision is imminent. Feb. 28 - 2:10 pm et

Yup. All major news outlets have pre-made obituaries for major figures who are getting up there in age so they can get them on the air right away.
