Overall I think this was a high B draft we addressed positions that I didnt overly think we needed to address.

BUT

I love the Brohm, Finley and Thompson picks...

Can't really give a grade for about 3 years.

I really liked the first four picks. Other than Flynn, I know nothing about the last six.

I think it's fair to add Ryan Grant to our list as well as an additional pick made next year. I mean heck, all the analysts are crowning the Vikes for the Allen trade, so why can't we include Grant?

It is true we can't grade, but we will.... I say B.

This was basically a draft for depth....I think GB achieved that...tons of young talent and what really separates the Packers from the rest of the division is quality depth.....thats where the Vikings will struggle.

Where the Vikings will struggle or succeed is their passing game. They have the defensive talent to at least match any team in the division and with Peterson/Taylor, the best duo of running backs in the NFL. If they can manage to pass decently, i see no reason they can't compete with the Packers or even win the division. If they pass very poorly again, it's hard for any team to win more than 8-9 games in todays NFL even with a good defense and running game.

As for the Packers draft, the first five picks look impressive to me, but i'll state the obvious, many draft picks look good before stepping on an NFL field. Hopefully one of the two tackles we drafted can develop and Finley can be taught to block because he does look the part as a receiving tight end.[/img]

let's remember the vikes have been solid on the d-line for a few years now, but it's that secondary that has been their achille's heel. having a pass rusher like jared allen will help a little, but they can definitely be exposed. by the time tarvaris jackson comes around or by the time they realize he's an ass clown that offensive line will fall apart like k.c.'s did a few years back. i hope the media keeps talkin' the queens up. take some pressure off a-rod and the rest of our youngsters.
