Favre @ Fox?
Here's the first report that a TV network (Fox) is trying to land Favre. I still believe Favre would be a perfect fit for Sunday Night Football w/ Madden and Michaels, but if it meant not having to listen to Barry Switzer I could get gehind this.

I don't think I could listen to Favre give analysis on the pre-game or anywhere else. Maybe it will help him get over football.

That was my initial thought as well, and if it does, more power to him.
Anyone who believed he would simply "fade away" was a bit naive, IMO. It's fairly obvious that he likes attention,

Favre never said he was going to "fade away". It was the so called pundits, experts and fans who have said that. Of course Fox is going to talk to him So is NBC and ESPN. That doesn't mean he's interested.
Personally I would love to hear what one of the greatest quarterbacks ever has to say about the weeks games.

The problem for Brett getting a TV gig is he won't be able to take a question and then ramble on for eight minutes while going off on multiple different tangents.

I've always felt Favre would be in TV next season.......he's too much a showman who likes the attention not to.
And I think he'll be excellent at it if they surround him with the right people.
And he'll draw ratings since all of us will want to listen to him in whatever role he has.
The only thing IMO that would hold him back from taking a network job is if he has in the back of his mind he'll be playing next year as an injury replacement for some team (maybe GB)

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."
