What's up with Rodgers long hair?

I don't know about everyone else out there, but I am not a fan of the new hairdo, or should I say hairdon't. Some fellas can pull this look off, A.J. Hawk is a good example, but others like Rodgers like pretty silly. I don't know if he is just doing this as a gag for all his teammates to get a laugh out of, or if he actually thinks it's a good look. I think it's more of a gag thing, like the time he grew that 'stache or that thing that Hulk Hogan has got around his mouth.
He keeps saying he's going to cut it soon, but it hasn't been cut since before last season I think. He almost looks like a chick, and we should all urge him to remove the locks ASAP.
It is also possible he is trying anything possible to look different and act different than #4.
past fashion statements:
just go back to this A-Rod:
I think that by the time summer rolls around he will have no choice to whack off the shaggy mop cut he's got, and get a buzz cut.
I'm just curious as to people's thought about his newest style.

I didn't even notice it. As long as he can throw the ball I don't care what he looks like.

Yeah, I second that. Maybe he grew out his hair to appear more rugged. I have no problem with the long hair, but that dirt squirrel stache' is not acceptable. If you can pull off the Jesus-do then more power to you.

I like the look...
Although I could care less what his hair is as long as he's moving the chains.

A-Rod was on Jim Rome today (with a guest host).
From my perspective, it wasn't that great an interview. A-Rod is sorta like a frat guy now pretending he's a street gang leader. You had to hear it to understand. It was similar to when Keanu Reeves trys to act in a serious role. It just doesn't work.
I like the guys talent, but he's got a lot of growing to do this season as the starter as it relates to rallying the team and fans around him. Of course wins will take care of everything.

It's a double edge sword for Rodgers. On the one hand he's replacing a legend and it will be difficult, probably impossible to live up to it. On the other hand he will probably get a lot of slack since no one expects much out of him.

I'm not around Rodgers and don't know him, but IMO the biggest key is that however he acts is truly himself.
When it comes to the other players respecting him, the one thing it seems athletes don't like is a phony and players are around each other so much, a phony will get sniffed out.
So long as he plays tough, produces at least reasonably well, and doesn't try to put on some front that isn't really him, i think the players will respect him.

AR should keep the long hair and grow a big beard,it would be cool to have a QB that looks like Jesus.

I am happy that at least A-Rod is anti-mullet, so Don Majkowski's Packer QB fashion legacy is secure.
