I understand he's a living legend and a god in Wisconsin, but come on. Give the locker to someone else and move on. Rodgers doesn't need to be reminded that he's not Brett Favre every time he walks into the locker room. Moreover, his teammates don't need that reminder either.

Who cares. If Aaron Rodgers is distracted by little things like that then he shouldn't be a starting QB in the NFL. He's got more important things to worry about than a locker. If anything it might motivate him to work harder. I'm sure MM was insinuating that the locker could be moved into the Packer's HOF where it rightfully belongs. I think it'd be neat to view the locker as he left it.

Agreed. It will be moved to the HOF, which is great. And if an empty locker bothers ARod, then he might as well hang it up right now.

I guess I don't understand. Where would Favre put his equipment after the sunday games if his locker is gone?

Yep

It's just a locker. If the Packers keeping Brett's locker off limits has even the slightest of effect on any players performance, that player isn't cut out for the bright lights of NFL football where you either produce or there is a long line of other players who would do just about anything for your job.

I was amazed they talked about this all day on ESPN recently. They only used about half of the story and made up their own points. Must have been a slow day in the news. Another bad play by ESPN.

I remember that when Ripken anounced he was retiring that they put plexiglass over it almost right away, and he still had personal stuff that they had to take out of it, and reglass it.

In my opinion it is different right now for most of the players on the team.

If we kept the locker there, put more "favre" stuff in it, and enclosed it in glass, it is a reminder of greatness for the rest of the team.

I don't know about you guys, but I have been in several areas of the locker room, and there are reminders of greatness everywhere. The sitting area has the "REAL" lombardi trophies there. There are huge murals on the wall. If I remember correctly Favres picture is up all over the weight room.

in 5 years, I believe no one cares, and it is a good reminder of what greatness can get you. Rodgers is right not to care, and if it bothers this writer so much, that is probably the reason why he probably sucked as sports.

My issue is that there was no point in keeping the locker up and in-tact. If they want to build a 100 foot statue of the guy and re-name Lambeau to Favre Field then fine. That's for the fans.

But neither Rodgers nor his teammates need to be reminded of that in the locker room. It's completely different.

Reminders of the greatness of both team tradition and individual players who epitomize it - belong anywhere and everywhere - especially the locker room. If you can't handle playing around, with or after greatness you'll likely not even be good.

Aaron does not need to be as good a QB as Favre to be successful - He just needs to give as good an effort to be a good football player and Packer. He'll do that I think. Brett's locker will not prevent that. If it can - then Aaron is inevitably gone by his own weakness.

Packer tradition and Superbowl victory requires mental toughness.

I can't believe anyone cared in the first place. seriously. Is the entire team made of mental midgets? How could a freaking locker bother you. lol.

I think I had Russ Feingold's old high school gym locker. As you can see , it has made me the man I am today!
