Ron Wolf moving back to Green Bay to live

Former Packer GM Wolf to live in Green Bay
Former Packers general manager Ron Wolf has bought a home in Green Bay and plans to move into it after he sells his current home in Annapolis, Md.

Wolf lived in Green Bay during his tenure as Packers GM from 1992 to 2000. Since retiring in 2001, Wolf's primary residence has been in Annapolis, although he also has a home in Jupiter, Fla., where he spends time in the winter.

Wolf's wife, Edie, is a psychologist who during the decade Wolf spent as general manager of the Packers had a private practice in Green Bay.

"We both really loved Green Bay," Wolf said. "How in the world could you not enjoy living in a place like that? We're excited about coming back."

Wolf's son, Eliot, is the assistant director of pro personnel for the Packers. He resides in De Pere.

Even though Wolf will be around Green Bay, he doesn't intend to be involved in any day-to-day operations with the football team. He said current general manager Ted Thompson invites him to visit training camp for a couple days each summer and he plans to do so again this year.

I can see a lot of casual fans asking for Thompson's head and assuming the Wolf would take over since he lives in the area.

Yup many will read into this more than there is. Wolf turns 70 this year. He's done. He liked living in the area and his son lives in GB.

He's not getting many free meals in Annapolis or Jupiter.....even though he usually goes during Early Bird Special Hour.
