FIRE TED THOMPSON FANS CHOICE

Post#1 » by King_Kong » Fri Jul 18, 2008 1:10 am

It appears Green Bay Packers Fans Favor Firing GM Ted Thompson or Losing Brett Favre. I found this website XXXXXXX. I seems like Ted Thompson is going to be run out of town.

EDIT: Sorry pal, you'll have to pimp your site in another way- MD

That would be one of if not the worst possible thing that could happen to this franchise. Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy are one of the best GM/Coach combos in the league and exactly what Green Bay needs.

It irritates me when I see idiot Favre ( who apparently aren't packer fans) fans blindly criticizing Packer Management for not taking Favre back. Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy had already agreed to take Favre back in late March, but 2 days later Brett changed his mind and said he wanted to stay retired. He has jerked this franchise around enough, it's time for both parties to move on, before Favre completely ruins his good will in the state of Wisconsin.

Ted Thompson's been the most criticized GM in the NFL since he took over, and all he's done is make the team a contender again in three seasons. Anyone who doesn't think Thompson and the Packers have handled this Favre situation in the best possible way is a complete idiot.

Yeah usually all it takes is for someone to put up a website to get a coach/manager/GM fired. Works all the time.

It works a lot better if you can get a dozen people to wear bags over their heads.

Silly.

Personally, I know that there are people on the executive board that are not happy with how this has become a media circus, and TT has taken repremand for it....The meet today, I believe.

But until we start loosing, he isn't going any where.

Brett will be under center Monday to open the season...so far every sign seems to point to that...

Um, what exactly has Thompson done wrong? How is he worthy of being reprimanded?

Not only is the initial post in this thread stupid, but it's incorrect. More people are upset with Brett than they are with Thompson right now. Brett (and his supporters) are the ones that look and sound like South Park's whiny depiction of Al Gore in the "Man-Bear-Pig" episode.

Brett to Greta Van Susteran: "I totally wanted Thompson to make my friend Steve Mariucci the coach and he, like, totally didn't do it! I'm super serial you guys! Ted was all, like, untruthy with me and stuff! You have to believe me!"

Since we already have a few threads on this topic, this one is going to be shut down.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
