Most likely a 3, but hopefully a 2, and if a miracle happens, a 1 with the Packers in the Superbowl (Pack win of course).

I'm being optimistic and going with the 2nd rounder.

They will get a Wild Card and not make the SB.

I think it's a 3rd too. NE wins the AFC East. JAX/IND have one of the wild cards sewn up.

CLE, DEN, HOU, TEN, and maybe CIN.

That's a lot of teams to fight for the WC.

I wouldn't automatically pencil in the Jags. I'm not sold on them.

Anyway, I think they're a 9-10 win team. I voted for playoffs.

I say 2nd rd pick, the Jets wernt exactly a **** team before they got Favre.

I also wouldnt be shocked if the Jets win AFC East, the pats are an aging team in decline and wouldnt be shocked if they went 11-5 or 10-6,the Jets I think have a real shot at 10-6 themselves now with Favre.

Favre's intangibles alone will make the Jets a serious threat at being a wild card playoff team.

Now if you wanna talk division and making noise in the playoffs then Favre is going to obviously have to play at a high level.

I say Favre has a solid season and the Jets go 10-6 and 0-1 in the playoffs losing in the wild card round.

The Pats take the division with a 11-5 record.

BTW The Jags will win the AFC south with the best record in the AFC.

I think they get a wild card birth with Brett and you know he will get 70% of the snaps.

:o
11-5 last year and their 5 losses were:
TEN (13-10, first game, playoff team)
Indy (nuff said)
@ NO (bad loss, but a road loss)
@ Indy (25-28, nuff said)
@ HOU (rested starters in last game of season)

The best Jets fans can hope for is a 8-8 or 9-7 season. I predict a spike in INTs similar to what we saw in the 99, 2000, and 2005 seasons, with the pressure of being successful in NY and proving his doubters wrong causing Favre to try to do it all by himself.

They will NOT make the playoffs.

I'll predict 2nd round pick, but I'll be rooting for that 1st round pick to occur (I do think it is a realistic possibility depending on what kind of year has) and of course I hope we get that 1st round pick after beating Favre and the Jets in the Super Bowl.
Whoa. That is really strange to type.
That would be a wet dream for the NFL and the media. Packers vs. Jets Super Bowl?
I know, I know. Not likely.

This might be the first time I've ever had to say this about you GAD, but you're crazy. 8-)

Super Bowl? They'll struggle just to make the playoffs.

My initial gut reaction was the AFC is way to tough and they play in a division with the Patriots, so a playoff berth would be nearly impossible. The Jets though do have one things that could give them at least a chance, their schedule

Miami twice
Oakland
Buffalo
Cincinnati
St. Louis
San Fran
Arizona
Kansas City
Denver at home

Obviously they won't win all those games and as we've seen in the NFL, teams that look bad on paper prior to a season can be better than expected. With that said, at first viewing, that looks to be a very favorable schedule. If their defense plays better, maybe a playoff berth isn't quite the very unlikely situation i first thought.

Not being overly familiar with the Jets, I look at that schedule and think 9-7 or 10-6. By year's end, heck probably a lot sooner than that, we will all be Jets experts. I agree with rila that all that tread on the tires of the Pat's O-line and defense is wearing a bit thin.

Too many teams that are STILL better than the Jets in the AFC. 3rd rounder unless some playoff contenders suffer major injuries.

Weren't the Pats 16-0 last year? I wouldnt call that "an aging team in decline."
