Lito Sheppard time?

He was known to be unhappy with his contract for the better part of the offseason, but talked about playing for another team for the first time earlier this week.

"I think it'll be a lot better if it was for somebody else," said Sheppard, who's expected to start at left cornerback during the team's preseason opener on Friday.

Maybe we toss the lesser of our 2 3rd rounders to the Eagles for him? Do you think they would bite? We would have to be interested in having a younger pro bowl quality cornerback.

I'd do that. Harris as the nickel back would be absolutely unreal.

I think you'd move Woodson to safety. He would be great there.

At this point I dont think I would mess with the chemistry. I cant see Harris nor Woodson being happy with a demotion this late in camp and considering the season they had last year

I like Lito, but he's fragile and wants a big time contract.

I think I give him the big time contract and make him the nickel. He would know that within 2 years he would be a starter since Woodson and Harris are both getting up there in years. When Woodson loses a step, I would let him move to safety.

I don't see a chemistry issue here.

I think Sheppard would definitely not be happy being a nickel even if we gave him a big contract. I also don't think Woodson would be happy playing safety after the year he had last year at CB.

It would certainly be nice to add a guy like Sheppard, but I don't see anyway it would work out with Harris and Woodson still around. Plus, Sheppard is injury prone, having missed 6, 3, and 5 games the last three seasons.

I think you just make Woodson the punt returner
