It's finally time for some football. And before we rip/praise Rodgers Monday night, let's remember this is game 1 of the preseason. No one is as good (or bad) as he looks in preseason.

7:00 ESPN (and channel 12 locally in the Milwaukee area)

I hope to God Rodgers looks good though and that our receivers can get some separation.

Finally, some Packer football.

Hopefully Aaron Rodgers looks great, or otherwise we'll hear about it all over the media.

Rodgers is expected to play 1 - 1 1/2 quarters. Grant is not expected to play.

I don't know anything about football, but why wouldn't they want to try out their new QB for most of the game? Too much injury risk?

Injury. They'll usually play a lot in the third preseason game and then most will play a couple series' in the last preseason game.

Yeah it's mostly because of injury. Not just to Rodgers but to all of the starters. And you don't want your starting QB in the game with the second/third team OL.

I am crossing my fingers that Rodgers is able to go out there and lead the team to a few succesful drives and scores, and not turn it over much and come out of the game healthy.

Thankfully the time has come for some football after having to deal with all this stupid drama.

They just reported that tickets are still available. That's odd. I thought the green season ticket holders got one preseason game and the gold season ticket holders got the other. I don't remember them being sold to the public and I never remember any tickets being available the day of the game, even for preseason.

Please let some of these Green Bay Favre fans be calmed down a bit tonight please. I can't listen to sports talk radio without some saying, "I won't be a Packer fan until the MM, TT and Murphy are out of jobs!!!!1!!1" Its getting to be a bit annoying.

As for tickets still be available maybe its cuz the packers have a resale thing through their website. Maybe some fans just put them up?

There should be no excuses tonight. It is only the first preseason game, yes, yet Rodger's faces a pathetic secondary and defense all together. He should be able to make some strides. And he better for his own sake.

1st preseason game or not (although I do agree with MD that no one is as good or bad in the first preseason game), all eyes will be on #12; the Rodgers era officially begins tonight and you just know there are booze hag fans just waiting to pounce on Rodgers as soon as he makes his first mistake.

In last year's first preseason game Favre went 2-7 for 7 yards and had a 3 and out on each of the 4 series he played. If any Rodgers-hater complains about his play just throw that stat out there.

I really hope AR gets in some good throws and can strike early.

A good showing tonight with 1-2 TD's will be great for his confidence and will give him some positive publicity until the next preseason game.

I'll say A-Rod goes 7-13 for 90 yards and 7-8 yards rushing.

I don't think he throws that much. Under ten times. Easy passes, maybe a bubble screen. Slants.

I'm guessing Bjax gets the offensive showcase tonight... Agreeing w/ DB, MM will give Aaron one opportunity to unload downfield if it's there, otherwise, we see the bread and butter of the regular season packers of last year, short quick throws to protect the oline and YAC.
