Quick FF Question

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Tue Aug 26, 2008 12:39 am

I draft in an hour and I have a question.

Most leagues I've played in score more for the runningbacks. But this one seems to ridiculously favor the QBs.

Passing Touchdowns 6.0 point(s) for each
Passing Yards 1.0 point(s) for every 20 yard(s)
5.0 point(s) at 100 yard(s)
Passing Interceptions -2.0 point(s) for each

Rushing:
Rushing Touchdowns 6.0 point(s) for each
Rushing Yards 1.0 point(s) for every 10 yard(s)
5.0 point(s) at 100 yard(s)

Receiving:
Receiving Touchdowns 6.0 point(s) for each
Receiving Yards 1.0 point(s) for every 10 yard(s)
5.0 point(s) at 100 yard(s)

LT and AD are the obvious top two, but should I scoop up Brady or Moss if I can get them in the first?

A friend of mine plays in a similiar league and he said RB's still went first but after thinking of it he wished he would have drafted Brady or Manning...even if they have an "off" year and throw for 30 that wil still be far morepoints than any RB will score.

I ended up picking 7 out of 8 and missed out on both (due to an autodraft non the less). Got Peyton instead.

God, I've never seen a five point bonus for a QB hitting 100 yards. Only Tavaris Jackson and maybe Vince Young don't hit that mark. I assume its just at that mark, not every 100 yards.

Most drafts I've been in/seen, still have Addai/Westbrook before Brady, who goes 5-6, and then Manning, who goes like 8 overall. In your league you might be able to rationalize Brady 3rd, but I still might take Addai/Westbrook because they catch so much.

In a 14 team league, pretty happy with Ryan Grant/Reggie Wayne picking 12th and then back around.

List your team if you get a chance DB, and how many teams in the league..

Yeah, most leagues only give 4pts for a passing TD. And the bonus for 100 yds is laughable. Should be 300 minimum.

I would focus on whatever position has the greatest drop-off after the top guys are gone. Unless you are in a 32 team league, won't every single team have a QB who gets that 100 yard bonus? That basically makes it worth nothing.
