I honestly have no idea how this game is going to go.

I could see the Packers getting creamed, I could see them winning an ugly close one, I could see them blowing the Vikings out of the building.

Anyway, Tuesday morning. What do you think people will be talking about?

Personally, I see people in Minnesota worrying like hell about their defensive backs.

We whipped them at home last year 34-0. They've added Allen and Berrian. We've added Rodgers and lost Favre and Williams. Those moves should not add up to a 34 point turnaround. A 13-3 team shouldn't lose to a division opponent at home.

10 point (at least) win.

I don't see how last year is that relevant, especially in the NFL. I have worries about this game given our OL health and the Vikings DL, which IMO is easily the best in the NFL.

I do think we will be able to pass on them, if MM calls a smart game and Rodgers doesn't hold the ball too long. I'm more worried about our offense against their D than I am about stopping their offense. Jackson is hobbled and I think we can single cover any of their WR's all day long. Peterson is a beast, but we have both our run stuffers in there, so I think Peterson will be forced to run outside, and hopefully the speed of our LB's can limit him.

I am thinking a very close Packers win, in a low scoring game.

Ryan Grant was also healthy and in mid-season form. He's barely touched a football in months.

I just find it interesting that the Packers and Rodgers are supposed to be scared to death of Allen, while the most consistent DE over the past few years is never mentioned.

I'm more worried about our defense being able to stop Peterson. Yes, we have our starters at DT in there, but we don't have the depth we did last year, which will hurt. Being able to rotate kept everyone fresh and playing better. We don't have that now. I think we'll stop their passing game for the most part, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Peterson go nuts.

We might have to win a high scoring game. Hopefully Rodgers is up to it, and I think he will be...

Ok no really, "Packers pull away late to big victory" or "Packers start fast and coast to victory"

I think it will be close for a half as the defenses are both tough but we take over in the second half after we give up on the run and start just running short slants and outs all day and give up on the run. Our Receivers are great after the catch so we might want to try that to start the game actually and in that case, we come out of the gates hot, and then coast to victory with a boring second half.

I hate to do it, but I don't see any way that we win this game.

One, Mickey, this isn't last year. We are beat up both physically and emotionly. Minny is better all around. I can't predict a score because I don't know how well Rodgers is going to do playing from behind. can he be a leader, push the ball down their thoat and win us the game?

We will find out. I think the D's for both teams keep it close, but in the end I think this game goes to the vikes.

Had it not been Brett Favre day in the state of Wisconsin, and had all of the hype, and not on Monday in prime time, I think it could be different.

All of the distractions and injuries will make it tougher to focus on football. I wish we were not playing a divisional opponnet. Plus, this would be our 5th win in a row, and we have only done that one other time in the history of the series with the Vikes.

Adrian Peterson walks all over green bay.

Last year peterson was having a great day against green bay and then was injured, and the packers won. the second game, he had a terrible day as the packers contained him. Peterso n is healthy and the packers' defensive line is not. that translates int o a good da y for peterson.

The Packers' offensive line is not healthy and is still juggling people around. That spells trouble for pass protection and the establishment of any running game. grant hasn't really played all preseason. you can't expect him to be at mid season form. That places a lot of hope on the packers' back-up running backs who proved they were not ready for the NFl last year making way for grant to start. I think rogers will have an ok game similar to the one he had against the Cowboys. but, we still lost that game.

I believe we are looking at a high scoring game of 31-23 with peterson running for 3 TDs and Crosby kicking 3 fgs.

I think this is going to be a romp, one way or another. I don't see a close one. I think that either the Vikes rack up 200 plus yards on the ground on their way to a three score victory, or the Packer WRs light up the Viking secondary and the game is over by the 3rd.

I see the latter happening.

I just don't see a blowout. Both defenses are too solid and both QB's are too inexperienced, plus it's a rivalry game and I think tension/mistakes could make an ugly overall game. I see a low scoring close one. I'd be shocked if either team romped.

i'll say 23-17 Packers win late.

Not me

If the Packers can reasonably contain Peterson and their running game overall, the only way i can see us losing if we turn the ball over three times or more.

Pack passing is sharp. Jennings & Driver are open all day long. Martin has a good game as #3,
Clifton & Tauscher win more than they loose against Allen & other DE. But MN gets 2 sacks. Sharper gets a pick. MN controls middle on D but Pack is effective rolling Rodgers out on 7-17 yard passes and great YAC. Often puts Pack in field goal range and Crosby is automatic. Pack is able to have some success running outside & Grant gets 85 yards.

Peterson gains 150 and scores 2 TDs. But MN has little other offense. Despite Peterson everyone on D looks solid. Packers effectively harass Jackson with pass rush & blitz. KGB, Kampmon & Hawk each have a sack. Woodson and Collins each have a pick

Ten years ago we had a similar big game on Monday night against the Vikings.....rain and all. Pretty much identical time and conditions. And Randy Moss had his coming out party and we got stomped.

Until the defense shows me that they can truly lock it down again in a regular season game, I think the story tomorrow will be that how the media's conventional wisdom was wrong. i.e. the Favre loss would cripple us, but we of course wouldn't need to worry about the defense.

I think the game is a toss-up, but will go with my belief that Favre won't be missed, but the lack of defense might really kill us. Vikings 34 - Packers 26
