Journal has article le on KGB & Gazette one on Jenkins.
Basically both are healthy again and played well.

I agree KGB was NOT offsides on that play. He was just unbelieveably quick off the ball. Linejudge probably just couldn't believe it.

Montgomery had some pass rush & Hunter had a couple good plays I thot.

How did you guys feel Jolly & Cole played? I missed specifically seeing them.

They played well. Peterson didn't have a monster game and they put some pressure on Jackson (although Sanders did send Hawk in a lot which was a welcome change). They should fare equally well against Detroit. The real test comes next week.

I thought it was close, but I definitely thought KGB was offsides.

He wasn't offsides, and I actually said that in realtime. It was just that nothing was moving but the ball and him, so it made it appear he was offsides.

As far as the DL, the key thing is Jenkins being healthy. He has flashed signs of dominance on and off over the past couple years, and when he is healthy he really is an asset, both rushing the passer and being able to move inside to DT on passing downs.

I'm happy with our five man DL rotation of Jenkins/Pickett/Jolly/Kampman on running downs and KGB/Jenkins/Jolly/Kampman on passing downs. Now, if Harrell could get healthy and actually start showing something, I'd feel even better. I think guys like Cole, Montgomery, Hunter are solid players, but I wouldn't want them in the full-time rotation. I am really hoping TT was right on Harrell, although right now it's not looking good.

From what I can remember, they only showed a front angle of the replay. From what I saw he jumped before the snap. I don't remember them showing a side angle which would determine if he was offsides or not. From the angle I saw, he looked like offsides, apparently I'm in the minority on that.

They did show a side angle of the play and it looked like he moved right when the ball started to move. It was a hell of a jump by KGB.

As for the DL, I thought they played well. Jolly was pretty invisible, but I thought Jenkins played really well. He didn't get a sack, but he got more pressure than he did most of last year. Of course, he was playing against backup LTs, so we'll see if he can continue to pressure the QB against better players.

I'm not sold yet, but maybe will be this weekend if they dominate against a presumably bad team.

It still was troubling we couldn't get the Vikings off the field in the second half. We had no 3 and outs. Last year it seemed like we were forcing 3 and outs every game. I realize we scored quickly, but even Larrivee talked about this on Monday as a potential problem (i.e Vikings running 20 more plays and winning the time of possession)

We bent all game long but didn't break. So it was a glass half empty/half full scenario for me.

Cullen has played well. But for two games now - Picket Jolly & Cole have been very inconsistent and getting gashed big time. Kampman while still good has not been as forceful.

Montgomery & Hunter are what I expected - nothing much but very good ST players.

Well at least we can look forward to Harrill's return as a major contributor

There DL is weak, KGB is absolutely garbage, he is worthless and a major liability. As inconsistent as the tackles have been, where the hell is Kampman? If it were not for a couple of coverage sacks AK would be a complete non-factor. Jenkins has been by far the best DL and now he has apparently suffered a major injury.

I think both lines are very mediocre. Not the type of lines that 12-4 teams are made of but rather 7-8 win teams.

TT's brought in some really good players during his three years here. But he hasn't been able to draft a stud lineman on either side of the ball which is troubling (am I missing someone with that statement?)

I'm hardly satisfied with the DL. The pass rush has been there but they can't finish sacks or take bad pursuit angles to the QB. Our rush defense is below average. You can't blame it entirely on the line, but with hard hitting safties that excell stopping the run, great linebackers, and even corners who can tackle you gotta put the blame on the line.
