What is this guys deal. Last year he was trying to force Kiffin to resign, now he's going to fire him/ I don't get it. You are never going to succeed if you surround your young talent , Russell and McFadden, with unstable vets like Javon Walker and DeAngelo Hall.

Al Davis is out of his mind. I think he worries more about what the fans think about him than actually putting out a good product on the field at this point. He's out of touch with the league and hasn't really made any good moves in recent memory. Hang em' up old balls.

Dallas has added a lot of "unstable" players...Tank Johnson, TO, Pac-woman, etc.
Sure they have more talent than the Raiders, but it can be done. Winning cures all.

it would be nice to see his original comments and the context in which they were spoken.
I 'd trade Rogers in a heartbeat, ....... if i could trade him for payton manning.
I'd fire mcCarthy this season if .......... . the Packers went 2-14.
I would have fired the lions' GM a long time ago- no ifs involved.
the media tends to twist a lot of things people say and place their own spin on it.

Al Davis has made Head Coach of the Raiders into the worst position in the league. He has stunted the growth of a team with a bunch of top 10 picks by continually changing their coaches and system. I think they are in the dumpster until they let a coach stay for more than a week.

I think the NFL has to do something about it. They are lucky their fan base is good, because with other franchises, it would have killed it by now. Al Davis is looking more like Kim Jong Il or a Fidel Castro than an NFL owner. No one knows what is going on in the organization, who is in charge, how it is run, or how long people will be there at their given positions. Why would any free agent want to go there...the ones that do are simply the mediocre players with issues that will take the money (guys that will never win).

davis is running his franchise the exact same way jerry jones runs the cowboys. they both spend big time money on questionable character and big name players. The cowboys' GM does nothing. jones hires a new coach every 2 years. the lone difference is that the Cowboys are winning and the raiders are not. so davis is called out of his mind and jones is a great owner. they both have the same amount of play-off victories in the past 5 years.
