He might have a ruptured spleen and could be out for the year.

I don't see why Philly would make a deal with an NFC team they may be in competition for a WC spot with.

Green Bay - Cornerback Al Harris is seeking a second opinion on an injury that could sideline him for the rest of the season.
Harris may have a ruptured spleen, an early diagnosis revealed on Monday morning, according to a source. He suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday night's loss to the Dallas Cowboys when Harris collided with linebacker A.J. Hawk. Coach Mike McCarthy said after the game that the doctors would not allow Harris to return to the game after blood was found in his urine.
The news was first posted by NationalFootballPost.com. Harris' agent, Jack Bechta, is one of the founding contributors to the site.
Harris, 33, is coming off his first Pro Bowl appearance. If Harris is sidelined indefinitely, Tramon Williams would become the starter opposite Charles Woodson. Will Blackmon would likely be elevated to the nickel spot, although Jarrett Bush had the job for part of last season.

Philly did trade us Harris in the first place. It was in the offseason, but both were good teams that were in competition with each other. I think they would be willing to deal Lito for the right price.

I have a fair amount of confidence in Tramon out there. He has been decent other than not making a play on that ball to Austin (which, I know was huge) but I have a fair amount of confidence in him.
Blackmon has seemed alright and should be fine as the nickel guy.
Seeing Bush on the field more makes me want to hurl.
This would be a good reason for Bob Sanders to dial up more blitzes to take some of the pressure of Tramon trying to cover a guy for 4-5 seconds but you know that it won't happen.
Is there anyone still out there on the free agent market? Can we talk Deion out of retirement?

I actually think Tramon can fill in for Harris and we wont miss much of a beat between the fact Harris is slowing down due to his age and Tramon is continuing to improve.Harris is still the better player but not by a wide margin,I woulda been a lot more nervous about a season ending injury to Harris last year than I am this year.
The thing where it hurts you of course is the fact you lose the depth though.

He's worthless even on special teams.
This is bad news, but I think Tramon's speed and quickness can compensate for what he lacks in experience and savvy. We really need Bigby back though. That loss is huge. Are there any veteran safeties that might be available?

watching the packers in the 4th quarter, they were gassed. without depth, they are going to be running tired every game with similar results. losing harris is a big blow.
it hurts more his injurry was caused by hawk. hawk has caused a lot of injuries in his short NFl career- mostly for the opposition.

Its like I said in the game thread about the Cowboys always getting lucky,I swear they must play with 4 leaf clovers in their pockets,luckly they seem to lose them in the playoffs though lol.
But only the Dallas Cowboys would have an opponet lose their all pro CB in the 1st qtr because he got rocked by his own teammate at linebacker.
WTF man.

Yeah, we absolutely need to go after Lito now.
This blows, but it's not really surprising. Harris was banged up a lot last year and it really befuddled me on how we didn't do much to address it.

While Tramon is improving he still has severe lapses. Plus he's not as good at bump & run which our D relies on. Add Woodson's toe & lack of depth and I support getting Lito for fair price.

Tramon played well, but he still makes those dumb mistakes.
I doubt the Eagles trade Lito, unless we give them a first, which I would highly doubt.

The Packers had a very fortunate year injury wise last season, i feared we wouldn't be so lucky this season. I think Tramon can fill in reasonably well, but the other side effect is it bumps every other corner into a more prominent role, Blackmon needs to show he can both be a great returner and solid nickle corner.

Green Bay had the fewest amount of games lost to injury last year, that is 1 major reason they were 13-3 now you have to adjust. Williams will probably grade out pretty equal to Harris at this point of his career, the loss of depth is what worries you. Blackmon and Lee might be the most physically gifted of all the DB's on this team, I love what Lee brings with his physical talent but he is still raw, he needs to grow up fast. Blackmon has all the tools to be excellent and he has some experience, time for him to step up big time. This is where you need a very good defensive mind to take pressure off some of these young guys, perhaps it is time to gamble a bit more but I don't have faith that Sanders will adjust.

We are hurting.
Sucks to sustain an injury such as this at this stage of your career especially.
We are fortunate to have the crappiest QBs in the NFL in our division though.
Yeah, uh, don't think TT burns a high draft pick to alleviate this problem. For some reason.

A ruptured spleen? That can be life-threatening, can't it? Did he have mono or something? I don't think a healthy, non-swollen spleen is too easy to rupture.
Anyway, that sucks and will obviously hurt us. Like a lot of us, I don't think the drop off from Al to Tramon is huge, but if this means Bush plays, that's obviously troubling. Hopefully Pat Lee's been making quick progress.
