If the playoffs started today the Packers would be out, the Jets would be in.

Was Cleveland's pick to us for the 2009 draft? I though the pick for Corey was for the 2008 draft and already used? Could be wrong.

Luke is right. We got the 56th pick in the draft for Williams and used it on Brohm.

Ha, you're right. I don't know how that got in my head.

Either way, we'll have three picks in the top 55 or so if the Jets keep this up.

Obviously, I'm always a BPA guy in any draft. Thankfully, this draft is loaded with stud OT's, with four projected to go in the top 20 (Oher, Smith, Smith, Monroe). I don't really know what "schemes" these guys play in college, but Andre Smith the OT from Bama has impressed me the two games I've seen them. He's a mountain already 6-4/330, and from what I've read he is a tackle now but has shown the ability to play guard.

Malcolm Jenkins, DB Ohio State is an absolute stud. I know we're looking pretty good at corner, but I don't think you can ever have enough (I really wanted Cason to fall to us last year).

I don't know if Maleyuga, LB, USC can move to the outside, or with how Barnett is playing we just want to replace him, but the guy has impressed the hell out of me when on the field. 260 pounds already and fast for that size. Has had injury issues.

I'm a defensive guy, obviously if a stud offensive skill position player falls, take him, but I am hoping we focus on lines/defense, assuming the BPA strategy.

Smith is the only OT I like, honestly, though Oher has gotten a ridiculous amount of hype. I just can't see much of a way one of the top three guys fall to the Packers unless Green Bay completely bombs the last seven games. If one was there I'd be handing in my card inside the first ten seconds.

I hope Thompson sticks to BPA. Even with the needs on the line, I wouldn't want to pass up a special talent for the sake of fitting a need.

Maualuga would be my dream pick. Plug him into the middle and figure the rest out later. He's a defender you build a defense around. I honestly don't think a switch to a 3-4 would be the worst idea in the world. It's easier to find those athletic hybrid rushers than it is to find a true 4-3 DE with the ability to put pressure on the QB.

I've seen Selvie play twice and he was a terror in both games. He looks bigger than his listed weight. He or Orakpo would be nice picks to boost the pass rush.
