I think this team is about to go on a roll

Don't know why. Both lines have been inconsistent all year long and we are sitting at 5-5 in a poor division, but I think the Bears game is going to be a springboard for this team.

It's all about line play. If (and it's a big if) the lines play the rest of the year like they played against the Bears, I think the Packers are the second best team in the NFC after the Giants when looking at overall talent and balance. Even with shaky OL play, we're still the fourth highest scoring team in the NFL, and even with shaky run D, we're still 12th in scoring defense. I could see us with a top 5 offense and a top 10 defense by the end of the year.

Maybe it's Packer-colored glasses, but my feeling is this team is about to break out.

I tend to agree as well. But I also thought the same thing after the Colts game.

Although, this Bears game seemed to be different. We just absolutely ran all over a very good run defense. That game looked like a classic mid 90's regular season game, of absolute smash mouth football, dominating on both sides of the ball. An extremely efficient QB who had completions to 9 different receivers, and our defense was flying around all over the place.

I hope you guys are right. It's been a rollarcoaster of a season. Not sure if I can take another tough loss.

I agree as well. We are just way better than a 5-5 team IMO. Even during the first quarter of the Bears game, I remember telling a friend of mine that I thought we would kill them since I just really believed the Packers were way better than their record and that I just didn't think the Bears were that good.

Knock on wood.

I've given up on trying to predict anything that will happen in football anymore. My fantasy teams are pretty good but as far as Pick 'Em goes... I think you'd have to be a lunatic to place bets on NFL games this season.

The optimist in me looks at the performance against the Bears and the upcoming schedule and sees 10-6. Then I remember that the NFL is loaded with parity and that anything can and will happen. Who the hell knows where this season ends up.

The offensive and defensive lines have been so inconsistent, i have no idea what to expect. Against the Vikings, the offensive line looked like one of the worst in the NFL, this week vs the Bears, the line looked like one of the best.

I'm confident that our secondary and wide receiver core will show up every week, other than that, i wouldn't put money on anything except i think we are good enough that even in games we'll lose over the next six games, it'll be in a close game. The two lines and Rodgers will decide if the Packers make the playoffs.

I'm up over $500 bucks placing bets on NFL games this year. Plus, I'm in a pick em league and I'm in the top third of my league. Its not that tough, there are always terrible spreads. My strategy is to just pick against the Seahawks.

So far this year, the Packers have lost to : Dallas, Tampa, Falcans, Titans, and the Vikings. The Vikings aren't that great this year, but it was on the road and AP had a huge day. The other four teams have all been great team teams this year, or Dallas was when we played them. The Packers are definitely better than what their record indicates.

Actually, here's my prediction: The Lions will beat the Titans. Book it.

The line obviously looked awesome, but Grant finally has his explosiveness back. If he stays healthy I think every game is winnable.

Yea, Grant probably broke more tackles vs the Bears than he has all season.

Michael Hunt's column this morning just doomed us to a dismal performance for at least this Monday night game. I agree that we're the best team in the North, but better teams haven't played like better teams much this season, with a few exceptions.

Seems like taking Washington is a good bet this week. Maybe Jacksonville, the Packers, the Bills and the Pats as well.

If you are that good, I will be following these pics this weekend just to see. I remember how I used to bet on games and got on a roll once, then I fell hard the last few weeks and stopped betting since it really is a losing cause over the long term IMO. Vegas wasn't built by losing money so the house advantage usually wins in the end.

I'm only betting on the Washington game.

Right adjective, just wrong usage. I saw them getting rolled.

Oh yeah? Well we were using it as a noun, and now you're using it as a verb. :P

Yeah I know. I was contemplating editing my post immediately after I posted that, but I decided to stick with the expression I use in my daily life, regardless of the grammatical connotation. :)

Packers are projected to win every week!
