Our wildcat QB is already on the roster . . .

Jordy Nelson.
Reading the support for bringing Vick onto this team was mind boggling. Now I'm not an animal activist (actually I can't stand PETA), and I certainly think the guy deserves a second chance, but this guy IS NOT going to help any NFL team THIS YEAR, and bringing him here changes the story of this team from "one of the most talented young teams in the league" to "the Michael Vick circus." I'll take Vick 2 years ago without the circus and legal woes, but not now after so much time off.
That said, those clamoring for a guy to switch things up on offense (wildcat/trick plays) need to realize Jordy Nelson should be the guy.
First, the guy's credentials:
1. 1st/2nd (depending on the publication) team All-State QB AND DB in high school - The guy knows both sides of the ball, don't underestimate how big of an advantage that is. Threw for 2 TD's his senior year of college.
2. Speed - holds numerous Kansas State records from high school track, 4.49 forty at the combine.
3. Athletic ability - Now this is one of those that's tough to judge, but I watch video of some of the catches the guy made in college and I'm just amazed. Some of the most athletic players are guys who return punts - 6 tries Sr. Year, 2 returned for TD's (here's some vid of the one against #7 Texas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJyjHB0_agE).
Other considerations:
-With the depth we have at WR, we can afford to move Nelson around to get him the ball.
-I am straight up going to play the race card here - I think if Nelson were black every one of us would be raving about his athletic ability, and there's no way in HE LL this guy drops to us in the second round of the draft last year.
-Doesn't waste a roster spot
Just saying, if we wanted/needed a guy to run some wildcat/trick plays, we already have him on the roster.
