Eli, not Peyton. All I can say is wow. That's over a million dollars per game over the course of the contract. In comparison, Mike Redd makes about $19,000 per game.

I'm an Eli optimist. I like him more than most, but that could be a franchise crippler given the production. I'm happy for him though. After all the stats, accolades, etc, him and his over-hyped brother have the same amount of rings, and Eli's better paid. Lovin it.

List of guys I would take over him (production wise and ability only):
Brady
Brees
Peyton
Big Ben
A-Rodge
Rivers
McNabb
Romo
Ryan

Maybes:
Cutler
Warner

Holy crap. I saw the title and thought Peyton and "Oh, good for him". But Elisha? Wow. I'm glad we signed Rodgers when we did.

Yeah this sucks for New York, but it isn't really all that surprising. The combination of Eli being a QB, a Manning, a Super Bowl Champion, and playing in the largest market in the country leads to a major pay day.
